Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and through whom we have access to the Father. Your request touches on deep spiritual battles, physical afflictions, emotional struggles, and the weight of daily life. We will address each concern with the truth of God’s Word, rebuking the enemy, offering biblical counsel, and lifting you up in prayer.

First, we must acknowledge the spiritual warfare you are enduring. The Bible tells us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in Jesus’ name. The vivid and disturbing dreams you experience are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and speaks to us in peace. We command every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression to flee from you now. You are not alone in this battle, and we declare that the weapons of your warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4).

The overwhelming nature of your life right now is not God’s design. Jesus said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). The constant demands from others and the chaos you feel are not your portion. We pray that God would grant you wisdom to set boundaries, prioritize your time, and create a schedule that honors Him and your well-being. The late nights are not serving you, and we ask the Lord to help you establish a rhythm of rest, work, and renewal. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

Your struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts is a serious matter, and we must address it with both truth and compassion. The enemy is indeed increasing temptation in this area, but you are not powerless. The Bible warns us, "But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28). Sexual sin is destructive, and it grieves the Holy Spirit who dwells within you. However, there is hope and freedom in Christ. You have experienced victory before, and we declare that you will walk in purity again. The apostle Paul writes, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that God would strengthen you to resist temptation, fill your mind with His truth, and provide accountability and support. Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let shame keep you from running to Him, He already knows and loves you deeply.

Regarding your job situation, we pray for wisdom and clarity. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." Whether you stay at your current jobs or seek new opportunities, we ask that God would open doors that no man can shut and close doors that are not His will for you. We pray for favor with your coworkers and supervisors, that any issues would be resolved, and that your work environment would become a place of peace and productivity. If God is leading you to take on a second job, we pray for strength, energy, and the ability to manage your time wisely. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there is a season for everything, and we trust that God will order your steps according to His perfect timing.

The health concerns for you, your family, and your friend weigh heavily on our hearts. We pray for complete healing and restoration. The flu and other illnesses are not from God, and we rebuke every sickness in Jesus’ name. We declare that your family will recover fully, and that those caring for you will not be made sicker in the process. Your friend’s chronic conditions are difficult, but we serve a God who is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord our Healer. We pray for strength, relief from pain, and divine intervention for their fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure, prostate concerns, and asthma. Isaiah 53:5 reminds us, "But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."

For your beloved cats, we pray for healing and protection. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." We ask God to heal the wounds of the two cats who have been scratching themselves and to continue to keep the third cat healthy. We pray that God would provide a way for you to care for them, whether through financial provision or guidance to a trustworthy vet. Your love for them is evident, and we trust that God sees and will meet this need.

Your medical condition and the need for discipline in your diet are also important. We pray that God would give you strength and self-control to adhere to your dietary needs. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." You are not alone in this, and we ask that God would sustain you and help you to honor Him with your body, which is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

Lastly, we lift up the African American community and pray for a great awakening. False teachings have led many astray, but the truth of God’s Word is powerful and life-giving. We pray that pastors and leaders would rise up to preach the unadulterated gospel, that hearts would be turned back to the Lord, and that the community would be set free from every lie of the enemy. Jesus said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (John 8:32).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see every struggle, every tear, and every burden they carry. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and torment that has been attacking them. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We command every assignment of the enemy to cease in Jesus’ name. Lord, we ask that You would break the power of the vivid and disturbing dreams and fill their mind with Your peace. Give them restful sleep, and let Your presence be their comfort.

Father, we pray for wisdom and direction regarding their job situation. Whether You are leading them to stay or to go, we ask that You would make Your will clear. Provide favor, open doors, and grant them the strength to manage their responsibilities. Help them to establish a healthy schedule, one that includes time for rest, work, and renewal. We pray against the spirit of overwhelm and ask that You would give them Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we bring their struggle with sexual sin before You. We ask that You would break the power of temptation and fill their mind with Your truth. Forgive them, Lord, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. Strengthen them to resist the enemy’s schemes and to walk in purity. Surround them with godly accountability and support. Remind them that Your grace is sufficient, and that Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

We pray for healing for them and their family. Touch their bodies, Lord, and restore them to full health. We rebuke the flu and every sickness in Jesus’ name. Protect those who are caring for them, and let no one be made sicker in the process. For their friend with chronic conditions, we ask for Your healing hand to bring relief, strength, and divine intervention. You are the God who heals, and we trust in Your power.

Father, we lift up their beloved cats to You. Heal the wounds of the two who have been scratching themselves, and continue to keep the third cat healthy. Provide a way for them to receive the care they need, whether through financial provision or guidance to a trustworthy vet. We thank You for the joy these pets bring and ask that You would continue to bless them.

Help them to stay disciplined in their diet, Lord. Give them strength and self-control to adhere to their medical needs. Remind them that their body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and help them to honor You with it.

We pray for the African American community, Lord. Raise up men and women who will preach the truth of Your Word. Break the power of false teachings, and turn hearts back to You. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and set captives free.

Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw our brother/sister closer to You. Let them experience Your love, Your peace, and Your presence in a tangible way. Remind them that they are not alone, and that You are with them always. Strengthen their faith, and help them to trust in You with all their heart.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We can feel the sheer weight of everything you are carrying right now, and we are so sorry the pressure has been so unrelenting. When the nights are late, the dreams are disturbing, and temptation hits hardest right when you are most exhausted and alone, it is not weakness to feel overwhelmed, it is simply being human in a battle that is bigger than any of us.

We hear you especially on the shame you are carrying over the sexual thoughts. You mentioned that depression seems to be pushing you toward those thoughts as an outlet, and that makes sense to us. When someone is hurting and depleted, the mind often reaches for whatever brings immediate comfort or escape, even when it leaves them feeling worse afterward. That does not make you beyond hope. God set you free before, and He has not changed His heart toward you. But we would gently encourage you not to fight this entirely alone, consider finding a wise Christian counselor or a pastor you trust to walk with you through both the depression and the temptation, because these things feed each other and are so heavy to carry in isolation. If a doctor's visit is also possible for the depression or the flu in your household, that is a completely valid part of caring for the body God gave you.

We also want to simply acknowledge how much you love your family, your friends, and your cats. That care is real and good, and we are praying with you for protection over all of them.

Lord Jesus, You see this person worn thin from spiritual attack, broken sleep, shame, and the constant demands of life. Bring relief tonight, quiet the racing thoughts and grant real rest. Give clear wisdom about the jobs and the schedule, and break the patterns of temptation that have felt so overwhelming. Protect this household in the midst of illness, and we ask for healing for dad, for their friend with so many health concerns, and for the cats who are loved so deeply. Most of all, remind them that they are not alone and that You are not ashamed of them. We ask this in Your strong name. Amen.

The enemy has targeted you from youth, but reckon that the trial is not a sign of abandonment. The Lord allows the archers to shoot at you, yet He provides a buckler. Cease striving to end the warfare yourself. Enter into present rest by coming to Jesus again afresh; rest now, not after the conflict is over, but in the midst of it, by trusting the victorious Christ. The dreams that disturb your sleep are part of the fiery darts, but remember, the same trial from Satan’s side is a trial from God’s side, measuring your faith and driving you to the Ransom. When the lamb is slain, deliverance comes; cling to the cross.

Your weariness cries out for solitude, yet you are learning that service itself can be a form of rest. Labor for the Lord Jesus is rest, like birds that sleep upon the wing. Yet if your schedule drains you and you end your nights late, be not foolish: a tired body makes a vulnerable spirit. Seek wisdom to order your days, for even the rest of Canaan had its boundaries. The consideration of new jobs is a matter for prayer, but do not despise the present place of trial; God positions His people where they must learn to endure. If you stay, pray not merely for things to get better for your comfort, but that you and your coworkers might be sanctified in the friction.

The maladaptive daydreaming and the return of sexual thoughts are the pits into which you are sinking because of depression. You know the shame. You remember former deliverance. Yet you are using sin as an outlet for sorrow. Stop it. God has found a ransom; do not insult the price by wallowing again. The prayer “Lead us not into temptation” is made a lie when you entertain the thoughts as you fall asleep. Never go into temptation. When the mind wanders to the bed of lust, cry out, “Lead us not there.” The moment the thought arises, flee to the pierced side of Jesus. He sets a watch over the chambers of the imagination.

You pray for the African American community to be delivered from false teachings. Purity in doctrine must walk hand in hand with charity. Unholy doctrine defiles the soul, and when a community strays into error, the poor and the fatherless among them suffer lack of true bread. Pray that the word would run swiftly and that the simplicity of the gospel would triumph over the sophistry of this age.

The sickness in your household is a trial that touches the flesh. That your ### coughs again, that you fear for the carers, cast this burden on the Lord who bore our griefs. For the cats, God cares for the beasts of the field; He hears the young ravens, and He sees the wounds your pets have caused themselves. In the absence of a vet and money, trust the Creator’s hand to restore, for not a sparrow falls without Him.

The discipline required for your diet is a battle of the will. It is a trial, but blessed is the man who endures it. Do not let the appetite dictate terms; let your reasonable service be a yoke that is easy. As for your ### with fibromyalgia and manifold afflictions, bear his burden in prayer. This is pure religion, to visit and pray for the afflicted. The Lord has a medicine for the body and the soul.

Do not look to a future date for perfect relief. You have a present rest in Jesus, and you shall find a deeper, growing rest as you learn of Him. The pit of despair claims you cannot be heard, but that is the signature of the Liar. Trust, and you shall rest. He brings forth His people with silver and gold; there is not one feeble person among His tribes when He wraps them in His righteousness. Stop looking at the warfare and look at the Captain. The battle is the Lord’s, and your extremity is simply the season for His deliverance.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The weight you carry is heavy, and the multitude of assaults against your soul would shake anyone. But you must understand that the enemy only unleashes such persistent warfare against those who threaten his dark kingdom. If you were already his, he would leave you to sleep in peace. Your distress is a sign of life, not death, but do not let it drive you to despair. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear. With every temptation, He makes a way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. The snare is that in your exhaustion, you have begun to look for escape in the very sin that Christ once broke over your life. This is the enemy’s cruel logic: he wears you down with dreams and demands and then offers a foul medicine that only deepens the sickness.

The sexual images that flood your mind as you fall asleep are not your own they are fiery darts, and you have been wounded because you have let them land and linger. Shame is right, but do not let it become a cloak for giving in. The man who rolls in filth eventually stops smelling it, and the mouth given to impurity becomes no different from a sewer. Yet Christ’s blood can cleanse again what you have defiled. When those thoughts first whisper, do not parley with them. Cry out to the Lord. Force your mind to a psalm, a prayer, or the memory of the judgment seat. The devil presses hardest when he sees you weak and isolated, but he has no answer when you flee to God. If you have fallen, rise at once; do not wallow. The same Lord who delivered you before is able to deliver you from every evil work not merely from the lion’s mouth of persecution, but from the lion of sin that crouches at the door of your heart.

This desire to be left alone, to have a better schedule and fewer interruptions, is your soul crying for rest. Yet consider: do you not see the father who sends a fright to his wandering child, only so the child will run back into his arms? God permits these very pressures, the constant demands of others, the late nights, the job uncertainties, precisely to draw you out of your maladaptive daydreaming and into real dependence on Him. Your imagination has become a hiding place, but it is a prison, not a refuge. The Lord is calling you to live in the present trial with patience, not to escape into a fantasy. When you are overwhelmed, instead of resenting the interruption, speak to the Lord about it. Let every new trouble be a fresh reason to fly to prayer. This is how the saints turned burdens into blessings.

Regarding your jobs, pray for wisdom, but do not expect a sign in the sky. Fear of making the wrong decision can itself be a temptation. Stay or go, the key is to work as unto Christ and not for men, and to use whatever provision He grants for His glory. If you stay, bear with your coworkers as you hope they will bear with you. Your diet, too, is a training ground. The table gives a fleeting pleasure and then oppresses the body with discomfort; but moderation brings health to both body and soul. Let the daily choice of what you eat become an offering of self-control, a small dying that brings life.

Your household, your cats, your friend with so many ailments all these are in God’s hand, who cares for the sparrow and numbers the hairs of your head. Pray, and then trust. Our fathers were in bondage four hundred years before deliverance came, yet God’s promise did not fail. The flu, the coughing, the scratching, the lack of money for a vet: all these are the common trials of a fallen world, allowed for our discipline, not our destruction. And for the African American community, pray indeed that the truth of the Gospel would shatter every false teaching, for only the Son sets free.

Stand, then. You are not fighting alone. The One who overcame the desert temptations that assail the belly, vainglory, and desire for more stands with you. Do not make terms with sin, even for a moment. Call upon Him in the night, push back against the darkness with the sword of the Spirit, and trust that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. The war is fierce because the prize is eternal. Endure, and you will see the way of escape open before you.

The real battle you are facing is not against people or circumstances, however overwhelming they feel right now. It is a spiritual war, fought in the unseen realm, and the front line runs straight through your mind. The exhaustion, the vivid dreams, the sexual thoughts that ambush you especially when you are tired, these are not random. They are skirmishes in a lifelong campaign to pull you away from God. The enemy wants you to believe you are helpless, but you are not. God has given you spiritual weapons that are mighty through Him, and the most decisive of them is prayer. When you pray, you are not just reciting a list; you are engaging in the fight with the authority of Jesus Christ. So every one of the burdens you named, you can take them directly into that battle.

Those disturbing dreams have left you drained and afraid. Know that not every dream carries a spiritual message, and the enemy can manipulate even our sleeping thoughts to sow confusion and fear. Yet God is perfectly able to speak peace into your night. He gave Joseph the ability to interpret dreams only by His power, and Joseph was careful to say, “It is not in me.” If there is something you need to understand, God will make it clear. For now, instead of dreading sleep, invite the Lord into it. Before you close your eyes, commit your rest to Him and ask the Holy Spirit to guard your mind. Simple, faith-filled prayer can silence the noise.

The shame you feel over the sexual thoughts and the maladaptive daydreaming is not meant to drive you away, it is meant to drive you to the only One who can break those chains. The law of God is spiritual; it reaches beyond actions into the very desires of the heart. You are realizing that the moment those fantasies begin, a choice presents itself: will you walk after the flesh or after the Spirit? The temptation itself is not the sin. Even Jesus was tempted, yet without sin. The sin comes when you yield, when lust conceives and gives birth. You said God set you free before, and He has not changed. But your weakness and depression have made you reach for a quick escape, a relief that the flesh offers but never truly gives. That is the shortcut Satan always suggests, fulfillment apart from God’s path. Jesus rejected that path in the wilderness, refusing to turn stones to bread, refusing to test His Father, refusing to bow for a kingdom without the cross. You are presented with a similar choice every night: the easy, shameful comfort of the flesh, or the harder, life-giving path of bringing your emptiness to God and waiting on Him. Run to Him, not away from Him. He is not surprised by your struggle, and He is able to help you in your time of testing. Every time you say no to the fantasy and instead speak His word or cry out in prayer, you are wielding the weapon of faith.

The same spiritual war is behind the constant demands that leave you wanting to hide. The enemy loves to wear down the saints by crowding their lives with relentless pressure, but God is the one who orders your steps. Pray specifically about your schedule, and then take practical action as He leads. Asking for wisdom about your jobs is exactly right. He cares about whether you stay or go, how you interact with your coworkers, and how you steward your time. Bring those decisions before Him with open hands, trusting that He orders your life far better than you could. And remember: you cannot fight spiritual battles with carnal schemes. Trying to manage this pressure in your own wisdom will only exhaust you further. The most disciplined schedule in the world will crumble if prayer is not its foundation.

Your love for your family, your cats, and your friend with so many health problems reflects God’s own compassion. He hears every request for their healing and protection. The flu, the coughing, the wounds from scratching, none of these are too small for His notice. He who clothes the grass of the field and watches over the sparrow is able to touch your home with healing and provide for your needs, even when you have no money for a vet. Your diet and physical discipline also matter. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and taking care of it is part of your worship. That, too, is a place where the flesh fights against the Spirit, but you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.

You also asked for the African American community to be set free from false teachings. That burden comes from the heart of God, who desires all people to come to the knowledge of the truth. Pray that the gospel of grace, not the empty promises of man-centered teaching, would break every chain of deception. The real answer for every people group is the same: the light of Christ shining in darkness, calling those asleep in death to rise.

The warfare is real, but the victory is certain. You are not fighting alone. Stand, pray, and believe that the weapons God has given you are enough. He who called you is faithful, and He will do it.
