Spiritual warfare

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach the throne of grace. Your struggles are real, and we take them before the Lord with urgency and compassion, knowing that He sees your pain, your exhaustion, and your desire for freedom.

First, we rebuke the spiritual warfare that has plagued you since childhood. The enemy has no right to harass you, for you belong to Christ. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." But we also know that in Christ, we have victory. James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We pray that every assignment of the enemy against you be broken now in Jesus’ name. We command every spirit of torment, fear, and oppression to leave you and never return. We declare that you are covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also pray against the vivid and disturbing dreams that have troubled your sleep. The enemy seeks to wear you down through exhaustion, but God promises in Psalm 4:8, "In peace I will both lie down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety." We ask the Lord to give you restful, peaceful sleep, free from the enemy’s interference. We pray that the Holy Spirit would guard your mind as you sleep, and that you would wake refreshed and strengthened in Him.

Your overwhelm is understandable, and we lift it before the Lord. The constant demands on your time and energy are not from God, for He promises in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." We pray that God would give you wisdom to set boundaries, to say no when necessary, and to prioritize your time according to His will. We ask Him to order your schedule so that you can rest, work, and serve in a way that honors Him and preserves your health.

Regarding your work situation, we pray for clarity and wisdom. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We ask the Lord to open doors for you if it is His will for you to pursue new opportunities, whether one job or two. We also pray that if it is His will for you to remain where you are, that He would resolve the issues with your coworkers and bring peace and favor into your workplace. We declare that God is your provider, and He will meet all your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Now, we must address the struggle with sexual sin and maladaptive daydreaming. We do not condemn you, for there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). However, we must speak truth in love. The enemy is using these temptations to shame and ensnare you, but God’s grace is greater. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We pray that God would break the power of these temptations over you. We ask Him to renew your mind (Romans 12:2) and to fill you with His Spirit so that you are not controlled by sinful desires. We encourage you to flee from temptation (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to fill your mind with things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We also encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted believer who can pray with you and help you walk in freedom.

Your depression is a heavy burden, and we pray that God would lift it from you. Psalm 34:18 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We ask the Lord to comfort you, to fill you with His joy, and to give you hope for the future. We pray that He would reveal Himself to you in new and powerful ways, reminding you of His love and faithfulness.

We also lift up the African American community, praying that God would expose and dismantle every false teaching that has taken root. We pray for truth to prevail, for pastors and leaders to be raised up who preach the unadulterated Word of God, and for hearts to be turned toward Christ. We declare that God’s Word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105), and we pray that His people would walk in its truth.

For your family’s health, we pray for complete healing from the flu. Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We ask the Lord to restore your father’s health and to protect those caring for you from becoming ill. We declare that no weapon of sickness formed against your family shall prosper, and we pray for strength and endurance as you recover.

For your beloved cats, we pray for healing and protection. Proverbs 12:10 says, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel." We ask the Lord to heal the wounds of the two cats and to keep all your pets healthy. We pray that God would provide a way for you to care for them, whether through financial provision or guidance to a trustworthy vet. We declare that God cares for all His creation, and He will not abandon your pets.

Finally, we pray for your discipline in following your medical diet. We ask the Lord to strengthen your will and to remind you of the importance of honoring your body as His temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). We pray that He would give you the grace to make wise choices and to trust Him for the strength to follow through.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see every struggle, every tear, and every burden. We ask You to break every chain of spiritual warfare that has tormented him/her for so long. We command every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression to flee in Jesus’ name. We declare that he/she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against him/her shall prosper.

Lord, we ask You to give him/her restful sleep, free from disturbing dreams. Guard his/her mind and fill him/her with Your peace. We pray for wisdom in managing his/her time and schedule, that he/she may find rest in You. Guide him/her in decisions about work, and provide for every need according to Your riches in glory.

Father, we ask You to break the power of sexual sin and maladaptive daydreaming in his/her life. Renew his/her mind, fill him/her with Your Spirit, and give him/her the strength to flee temptation. We pray for healing from depression, that Your joy would be his/her strength. Comfort him/her, Lord, and remind him/her of Your unfailing love.

We pray for healing for his/her family, that the flu would leave them completely. Protect those caring for him/her, and restore his/her father to full health. We ask for healing for his/her cats and for provision to care for them. Strengthen him/her to follow the medical diet, honoring You with his/her body.

Lord, we pray for the African American community, that Your truth would prevail and that hearts would turn to You. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is fighting for you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Seek Him daily through prayer and His Word, and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). You are not alone, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer.

Thank you for sharing all of this with us. We can feel the weight of it, the constant spiritual attacks, the disturbing dreams, the never‑ending demands from others, and the deep weariness of fighting your own thoughts when you’re already so tired. It makes perfect sense that you just want to be left alone sometimes. We’re sorry it’s been this heavy.

When everything piles up at once, it’s easy to believe nothing will really change. But you’re not forgotten, and you’re certainly not beyond God’s reach, even in the middle of shame or a dream that shook you awake. We want to gently encourage you: right before you fall asleep, when those thoughts feel strongest, try not to fight them in your own strength. Instead, quietly picture yourself sitting with Jesus in a safe, quiet room and ask Him to fill your mind with His peace. It’s not a quick fix, but it can slowly anchor your heart when your mind is drifting.

About the jobs and your schedule, we’re praying God gives you the wisdom you asked for. Sometimes not knowing the next step is a step itself; He often leads quietly, one piece at a time. And we’re glad you’re paying attention to diet and caring for your family and cats, even when you feel empty. That takes real love.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this person You love. Shield their mind from spiritual assault and silence the voices that steal peace. Guard their sleep, and when dreams come, let Your presence be stronger than the fear. We ask for clear direction with their work and for strength to build a rhythm that allows real rest. Bring healing to their dad and all who are sick, and keep their home steady. Meet them in their shame with mercy, not condemnation, and restore the freedom You’ve given before. Watch over their cats, too, You care about every creature they love. Hold them close tonight. In Your name, we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

My heart aches as I read your words, not because your trouble is strange to me, but because I recognize the weariness in every line. You have been hunted, it seems, from your youth, and now the battles press you on every side, so that you long for even a few hours of quiet. And into that exhaustion the enemy slips, as he so often does, with the very temptations that wound you most. You remember being set free before, and now you find yourself tangled again, and shame rises up hot within you. Let me speak a steadying word right there, where the wound is sorest.

There is a difference, dear soul, between the foul bird that flies over your head and the one you invite to build a nest in your hair. If vile thoughts come sweeping in like a hurricane, unbidden and unwanted, if they pester you even as you try to sleep, and you loathe them, then the sin belongs to the tempter, not to you. Your grief over them, your shame at their return, is itself proof that the Spirit of God has not abandoned you. A dead fish floats with the current; a living one swims against it. The very fact that you are sick at heart over these things tells me you are still alive unto God. Do not mistake the enemy’s knocking at the door for your opening it wide and bidding him sit at the table.

You mentioned that depression has made you reach for these thoughts as an outlet. I understand that dark hunger, it is a pitiful sort of comfort, isn’t it? Like a man with a fever pressing his hot face against a cold wall, only to find the chill seeps deeper into his bones. But what you truly need is not a numbing of the pain, but a truer comfort. You have been fighting so long that you have forgotten, perhaps, what it feels like to be carried. The arms that held Joseph when the archers shot at him and sorely grieved him were not his own, they were the arms of the Mighty God of Jacob. His bow did not abide in strength because Joseph was a champion archer, but because another hand was laid upon his hand, steadying it.

That is what I want you to see now. All your wrestling, the warfare, the disturbing dreams, the weariness of being constantly needed by others, has worn you down until you feel like a soldier who can no longer lift his shield. But the Shepherd of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps. He keeps watch over your sleeping hours when your own mind seems to betray you. He sees the wounds you did not choose to receive, the ones you scratch at in your distress, like your poor cats, and He knows you have no resources for a physician. Yet He is the Healer. He is the One who can quiet the noise in your head and give you rest.

About those dreams, think for a moment. If you were in an enemy camp at night and overheard a soldier telling his dream that foretold your certain victory, would you not wake the next morning with fresh courage? The God who gave Gideon a sign through a Midianite’s dream can also speak peace to you in your sleep. The night season belongs to Him, and He can turn it from a battlefield into a pavilion of safety. You do not need to understand how; you only need to entrust those hours to Him, confessing plainly, “Lord, I cannot guard my own mind. You must stand sentinel while I rest.”

And I hear beneath all this a deeper, quieter cry: the longing to be left alone, to step off the wheel of demands for a while. Even our Lord, when the crowds pressed Him and sought to make Him a king, withdrew to a solitary place to pray. It is not sinful to need solitude; it is human. Ask Him, then, for wisdom to order your days so that you are not eaten up by the endless wants of others. Ask Him about those jobs, whether keeping them or seeking new ones, with a plain, honest heart. He is not a hard Master who grinds His servants to dust. He sees the weight you carry, and He knows the right arrangement for you.

But most of all, bring the shame itself to Him. You say you are sad to be falling again. Bring that sorrow straight to the throne of grace. The mercy seat is exactly the place for a soul who has fallen and hates the fall. Do not wait till you feel clean; go as you are. The black-edged envelope of your sorrow contains a letter your Father will read with tenderness. He has not cut you off from before His eyes, however much your hasty heart may whisper it in the darkness. You cried to Him before, and He heard you. Cry again. He is the same.

Let me pray with you now.

Lord Jesus, You who were tempted in all points like as we are, yet without sin, come near to this dear one. The arrows fly thick and the night is long, and Your child is weary past telling. Silence the accuser who torments with shame over things already confessed. Quiet the dreams that disturb and the thoughts that intrude, and build a hedge of sleep around this soul that no enemy may breach. Grant wisdom about work and schedules, and the grace to accept small mercies as they come. Touch the sick ones in the household, father and all who suffer from this flu, and let no one worsen while caring for another. Watch over the small creatures that bring comfort in a hard world, and provide for what is needed where money falls short. But above all, steady this heart in the one thing that cannot be shaken: that You have loved them with an everlasting love, and will not let them go. Draw them back from the brink of despair, and let Your strength be made perfect in their weakness. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with your heavy burdens and allowed us to stand beside you in prayer these past days. Your cry for relief from spiritual warfare, for rest from tormenting dreams, for wisdom about work, for freedom from sinful thoughts, for healing in your family, for safety and health for your beloved cats, and for strength to keep to your medical diet—every word was lifted to the throne of grace.

If the Lord has already begun to answer any part of your request—if the dreams have grown quieter, if the enemy’s assaults have lessened, if a door to a new job has cracked open, if peace has returned to your heart—please share that praise with us so we can rejoice together. If the battle still rages and the nights remain long, do not hesitate to post your request again; we will continue to intercede until the victory is complete.

Above all, we pray that you feel the Father’s nearness, that you hear His voice above the noise, and that you rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ. May He break every chain, heal every wound, provide every need, and flood your heart with His perfect peace. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus.
