Spiritual warfare

Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for two of my cats - one who is scratching himself too hard and causing wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in spiritual warfare, lifting every burden before the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The vivid dreams, the relentless attacks, the overwhelming demands on your time, these are not from God, who gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and promises rest for the weary (Matthew 11:28). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your body, and your spirit in the mighty name of Jesus.

The sexual thoughts and temptations you describe are not merely struggles, they are spiritual battles. The enemy knows your weakness and seeks to exploit it, but God’s Word declares that no temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man, and God is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). You must resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). We pray for a breaking of every chain of lust and shame, for the blood of Jesus to cleanse your mind, and for the Holy Spirit to fill you with purity and self-control. Confess this sin, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let depression or overwhelm drive you into sin, cry out to God, who is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We also lift up your physical and financial needs. The Lord is your provider (Philippians 4:19), and we pray for wisdom in managing your time, for new job opportunities that align with His will, and for discipline in your schedule. Late nights and exhaustion only weaken your defenses against the enemy’s attacks, so we ask God to order your steps and grant you rest. For your family battling illness, we pray healing over each one, that the flu would leave their bodies and that no one would grow sicker in caring for others. For your beloved cats, we ask the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows (Matthew 6:26), to bring healing and protection over them.

We also take authority over the false teachings affecting the African American community. The enemy seeks to distort God’s Word, but we pray for truth to prevail, for strong biblical teaching to rise up, and for hearts to turn fully to Christ. Only in His name is there salvation (Acts 4:12), and only by His Spirit can we discern truth from deception.

Father, we come before You now, standing in the gap for our brother. We bind every spirit of fear, torment, lust, and oppression in Jesus’ name. We loose peace, purity, provision, and healing over his life. Strengthen him to walk in discipline, to resist temptation, and to trust in Your timing. Surround him with godly community, protect his mind from the enemy’s lies, and fill him with Your Holy Spirit. We declare freedom over his dreams, his thoughts, and his circumstances. May he know that You are fighting for him, and that in Christ, he is more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37). We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

It's heartbreaking to hear about the spiritual attacks you've faced for so long, but remember, Jesus has already won the victory. He's breaking chains of those vivid dreams, bringing peace to your mind, and guarding your heart from the enemy's lies. We're praying for a fresh wave of God's presence to surround you, to quiet the chaos, and to give you rest.

Your struggle with those inappropriate thoughts breaks our hearts too, but please know, God's grace is greater. He sees your heart, your sincerity, and your desire to walk in purity. We're asking Him to flood your mind with His truth, to give you strength to resist temptation, and to renew your mind so you can sleep without shame. The enemy wants you to feel stuck, but God is leading you into freedom.

We're also asking God to calm the storm in your family's health. These illnesses feel relentless, but our God is the great Healer. We're praying for your dad, that his cough would fade away completely, and for each family member to experience healing. And your cats, our prayers are with them too. May God watch over their little lives and keep them healthy until you're able to care for them properly.

We're asking for wisdom in your schedule, that God would help you find balance and rest. You're not meant to carry this alone, and we're praying for new opportunities, even multiple jobs, that would align with His plan for you. Trust that He's working, even when it feels overwhelming.

Lord, we pray for breakthrough in every area, spiritual, emotional, physical. Break the cycles of depression and temptation, bring healing to our brother's family, and lead him into the peace and provision he needs. Set him free, Jesus, in Your mighty name we pray.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. We are deeply moved by your honesty and vulnerability in sharing such a heavy burden with us. It has been our privilege to stand in the gap for you these past days, lifting each of these specific needs before our Heavenly Father. We have prayed fervently for an end to the spiritual warfare that has targeted you since childhood, asking God to break every chain and silence every lying voice of the enemy. We’ve cried out for His peace to guard your mind, especially in those vivid and disturbing dreams, that you would rest in the safety of His presence and wake refreshed in spirit.

We’ve asked the Lord to intervene in the overwhelming demands on your time and energy, that He would shield you from the constant pull of others’ expectations and grant you the space to simply be still in Him. Father, we’ve petitioned You for wisdom in managing your schedule, that your nights would no longer be stolen by lateness but restored to restful, God-honoring rhythms. We’ve also lifted your search for new employment, asking that You open doors for both a primary and secondary job that would bring provision, purpose, and balance to your life. May You lead each step and make the path clear.

With great compassion, we’ve brought your struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts before the throne, asking God to sever the enemy’s grip on your mind, especially in those vulnerable moments of falling asleep. We’ve prayed for a fresh filling of the Holy Spirit to strengthen your resolve, that you would walk in the freedom Christ died to give you. Lord, we’ve asked You to break the cycle of shame and remind you of Your past victories over this sin—may Your grace cover every failure and Your power restore every area of weakness. We’ve also prayed against the depression that seeks to use these thoughts as an outlet, asking for joy to replace despair and hope to rise in its place.

For your family, we’ve asked God to bring complete healing from the flu, protecting each one from further illness, especially your father as his cough returns. May their strength be renewed, and may no one grow sicker while caring for another. We’ve also lifted up your precious cats, praying for the one scratching himself and the one who made that strange noise—asking for healing, comfort, and protection over them both. Father, we’ve trusted You to provide for their needs, even when vet care feels out of reach, knowing You love them even more than we do.

We’ve stood in agreement with you for discipline in your eating, asking God to strengthen your resolve and make each choice an act of worship to Him. And we’ve prayed for the African American community, asking the Lord to expose and dismantle every false teaching, replacing lies with the truth of Your Word and drawing hearts back to the foundation of the Gospel.

If any of these prayers have been answered—even in part—we would be overjoyed to hear how God has moved in your life. If the battle still rages, please know we are not stepping away.
