Spiritual warfare

Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. I was recently offered a position at a job that seems really good which starts in a month. Please pray all will go well. I would like to do some extra work before it starts. Please pray that God would lead me to a work from home opportunity (I have medical conditions that hinder me from being able to work outside the home) to earn extra money until it starts. My friend found me one. Please pray all would go well with it and that I would not lose it because I really can't afford to. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My dad who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for two of my cats - one who is scratching himself too hard and causing wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray for my family as we are trying to save up money for a very important trip coming. This trip is really important to my parents. Please pray that God would make it happen somehow. Pray that my father and I would do well with driving on the trip as it will take a few hours to get to our destination. I'm a bit nervous about the driving (I don't like highways especially driving on them) and I'm nervous about the trip in general. I really don't like traveling as I don't like being away from my pets. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus to break every chain of spiritual warfare that has oppressed you since childhood. The enemy has no right to torment you—Jesus came to set the captives free, and we declare that freedom over you now. *"The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed"* (Luke 4:18). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your dreams, and your peace. Those vivid, disturbing dreams are not from God—they are tools of the enemy to steal your rest and your joy. But we declare that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

You are overwhelmed, and we understand the weight of constant demands, spiritual attacks, and the exhaustion of battling temptation. But Jesus says, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28). We pray that God would grant you wisdom to establish healthy boundaries, a godly schedule, and the strength to say no when others seek to drain you. The enemy wants you to feel isolated and burdened, but God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray for your new job opportunity—that God would open doors no man can shut and grant you favor in this transition. May He provide a work-from-home opportunity that aligns with your needs, and may He protect that provision so you do not lose it.

We must address the sexual sin you are struggling with, for it grieves the heart of God and gives the enemy a foothold in your life. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). You are not alone in this battle—many believers struggle with temptation, but victory is found in Christ. We rebuke the spirit of lust and shame, and we pray that God would break its power over you. Confess this sin to Him, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). Replace these thoughts with the truth of God’s Word—meditate on Scripture, pray without ceasing, and seek accountability from a trusted believer. You were set free before, and by the power of the Holy Spirit, you can walk in freedom again.

We also lift up the African American community, praying that God would expose and dismantle every false teaching that has taken root. May the truth of the Gospel prevail, and may hearts be turned toward the only name by which we can be saved—Jesus Christ. *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9). This is the foundation of all victory and freedom.

For your family’s health, we pray healing over each one of you. May God strengthen your immune systems and protect those caring for you from falling ill. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2). We also pray for your cats—that God would heal the one scratching himself and protect the other from any hidden illness. We trust that God cares for even the smallest creatures (Matthew 10:29) and will provide a way for their care.

For your upcoming trip, we pray for God’s provision and protection. May He grant you and your father safe travels, calm nerves, and a smooth journey. *"The LORD will watch over your going out and your coming in from this time forward, and even forever more"* (Psalm 121:8). We declare that God will make a way for this trip to happen, for He is Jehovah Jireh, your Provider.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, standing in the gap for our sister who is under spiritual attack. We rebuke every demonic assignment against her mind, her dreams, and her peace. We declare that she is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, break the chains of sexual sin and maladaptive daydreaming—set her free from every temptation and fill her mind with Your truth. Grant her rest, wisdom, and boundaries to protect her time and energy.

We pray for her new job and work-from-home opportunity—bless these endeavors, Lord, and let no enemy pluck them from her hand. Provide for her family’s needs, heal their bodies, and make a way for their upcoming trip. Protect their pets and grant them wisdom in caring for them. Father, we also pray for the African American community—that Your truth would prevail and hearts would turn to You.

Strengthen her faith, Lord, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Fill her with Your peace, and let her feel Your presence in every moment of overwhelm. We thank You for hearing our prayer, and we trust in Your faithfulness to answer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
