Spiritual warfare

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
I have posted about spiritual warfare that has targeted me for most of my life influencing people around me to do terrible things to me that they wouldn't otherwise do to try to push me toward deep unforgiveness and possibly some other things. Please pray for me about this warfare in the context of church as this warfare sometimes targets me through people at church. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help in the midst of intense spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and principalities through His victory on the cross. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The attacks you describe—manipulation, betrayal, and attempts to provoke unforgiveness—are not random; they are strategic assaults from the kingdom of darkness, designed to isolate you, harden your heart, and render you ineffective in your faith. But we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

First, we must address the critical importance of forgiveness, for it is one of the enemy’s most potent weapons against believers. Unforgiveness is a prison that keeps you bound, while the one who wronged you may walk free. Jesus warned us plainly: "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15). We rebuke the spirit of bitterness and resentment that seeks to take root in your heart. We command it to leave in the name of Jesus, for He has called us to walk in love, even as He loved us and gave Himself for us (Ephesians 5:2). Forgiveness is not a feeling; it is a choice, an act of obedience to God that releases you from the chains of the past.

We also recognize that the enemy often attacks believers through the very place that should be a refuge—God’s house. The church is not a building but a body of believers, and where two or three are gathered in His name, Jesus is in the midst (Matthew 18:20). Yet, the enemy seeks to sow discord, division, and deception even among God’s people. We rebuke every spirit of deception, gossip, slander, and betrayal that has operated through individuals in your church. We declare that the blood of Jesus cleanses and covers you, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that God would expose every hidden work of darkness in your church and bring it to light, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed (Luke 8:17).

We must also address the reality of spiritual warfare in the context of your identity in Christ. The enemy seeks to distort your view of yourself, others, and God. He wants you to see yourself as a victim rather than a victor, as abandoned rather than adopted, as weak rather than strong in the Lord. But the Word of God declares that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). You are seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), far above every principality and power (Ephesians 1:21). The attacks you face are not a sign of God’s absence but evidence of the enemy’s desperation, for he knows his time is short (Revelation 12:12).

We encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, as Ephesians 6:10-18 instructs. Stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, the breastplate of righteousness in place, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Stay alert and persistent in your prayers for all the Lord’s people.

We also urge you to surround yourself with faithful believers who can stand with you in prayer and accountability. Do not isolate yourself, for the enemy seeks to pick off those who are alone. The body of Christ is meant to function together, bearing one another’s burdens and sharpening one another in faith (Galatians 6:2, Proverbs 27:17). If your church has been a place of pain, ask God to lead you to a community where you can grow and serve without fear. He is faithful to direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. We thank You that Your Son has already won the victory over sin, death, and the powers of darkness. We stand on that victory today on behalf of our brother/sister who is under attack.

Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has targeted them. We rebuke every spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, deception, betrayal, and division that has sought to operate in their life. We command these spirits to flee in the name of Jesus, for He has given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17).

Father, we ask that You would heal every wound in their heart—every hurt, every betrayal, every moment of isolation. Pour out Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them. Soften their heart to release every offense into Your hands, trusting that You will repay and restore what has been stolen (Joel 2:25).

Lord, we pray for their church. Expose every hidden work of darkness, every scheme of the enemy, and every individual who has been used as a tool of the devil. Bring repentance, restoration, and unity where there has been division. If this church is not a place of safety and growth, we ask that You would lead them to a body of believers where they can thrive in their calling. Surround them with faithful friends who will stand with them in prayer and encouragement.

We ask that You would strengthen their faith in this season. Remind them daily of who they are in Christ—a child of God, a co-heir with Christ, a temple of the Holy Spirit. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Teach them to wield the sword of Your Word with precision, declaring Your promises over their life and rebuking the lies of the enemy.

Father, we thank You that You are a God who sees, a God who hears, and a God who acts on behalf of Your children. We trust You to turn this season of warfare into a testimony of Your faithfulness. May our brother/sister emerge from this battle stronger, more dependent on You, and more equipped to help others who are facing similar struggles.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, dear friend, standing in the gap and lifting you up in prayer. We know that spiritual warfare can be intense and overwhelming, but remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. You're not alone in this fight.

We've been praying for you, and we want to continue to do so. Can you share more about what's been happening? Sometimes, talking about it can help unburden your heart and bring clarity. We're here to listen and support you in any way we can.

Let's keep praying together, okay?

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us to stand with you in prayer during this intense spiritual battle. It has been our privilege to lift you before the Lord, asking for His protection, strength, and deliverance from the schemes of the enemy. We have prayed fervently that God would break every chain of influence over those around you, that He would guard your heart from bitterness and unforgiveness, and that He would surround you with His peace and presence, especially within the church.

As you continue to walk through this trial, we encourage you to hold fast to the truth of God’s Word and the power of His name. If the Lord has moved in a mighty way—if you’ve experienced His deliverance, His healing, or His protection—we would be overjoyed to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. On the other hand, if the battle still rages and you feel the need for continued prayer support, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to stand with you, interceding until victory is fully realized.

May the Lord strengthen you, fill you with His Spirit, and remind you daily that you are more than a conqueror through Christ Jesus. We continue to pray that His light will pierce the darkness in this situation and that His love will prevail in every area of your life. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
