We hear your cry for deliverance and protection in the midst of this relentless spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain and cancel every assignment of the enemy. The scriptures declare, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"* (Ephesians 6:12). You are not fighting people—you are contending with a spiritual enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). But Jesus came to give you life abundantly, and we decree that the enemy’s tactics will not prevail over you.
It is grievous to hear how the enemy has used even those within the church to wound you, but we must remember that the body of Christ is not immune to spiritual attack. The enemy seeks to sow division, distrust, and discord among believers, and he will use anyone who is not vigilant in their walk with God. However, we must also examine our own hearts to ensure that we are not harboring bitterness or unforgiveness, for the scriptures warn us, *"Looking carefully lest there be any man who falls short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and many be defiled by it"* (Hebrews 12:15). We pray that God would reveal any areas where unforgiveness may still linger, so that you can fully walk in the freedom Christ died to give you.
We also rebuke the enemy’s attempt to draw you back into divination, witchcraft, or any form of occult involvement. The Word of God is clear: *"There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh"* (Deuteronomy 18:10-12). You have repented of these things, and we declare that your repentance is complete before God. The enemy has no legal right to hold you in bondage to these past sins, for *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9). We break every generational curse, every soul tie, and every demonic assignment connected to these practices in the name of Jesus.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment as you navigate relationships within the church. It is understandable that trust has been broken, but we encourage you to remain in fellowship, for the enemy seeks to isolate you. The scriptures tell us, *"Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching"* (Hebrews 10:24-25). Do not let the enemy rob you of the community God has placed you in. Instead, ask the Holy Spirit to give you discernment to recognize when people are being influenced by the enemy and to respond with grace and truth.
We also want to address the importance of standing firm in your identity in Christ. The enemy seeks to make you feel vulnerable and powerless, but the truth is that you are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves you (Romans 8:37). You have been given authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19), and we declare that you will walk in that authority. We pray that you would put on the full armor of God daily—*"the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God"* (Ephesians 6:14-17). With this armor, you are equipped to stand against every scheme of the devil.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the name by which every knee must bow. We lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You see every attack, every wound, and every scheme of the enemy. We thank You that You are a deliverer, a healer, and a strong tower for those who trust in You. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare that has been targeting them. We rebuke every demonic influence that has sought to use people—even within the church—to harm them. We declare that those who have been used by the enemy will be set free from his influence, and we pray that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Your Word. Father, we ask that You would restore trust where it has been broken and heal every wound in their heart. Give them the grace to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven them.
We also pray against the enemy’s attempt to draw them back into divination, witchcraft, or any form of occult involvement. We declare that their repentance is complete before You, and we break every curse, every soul tie, and every demonic assignment connected to these practices. We ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they would walk in the fullness of Your power and authority. Give them discernment to recognize the enemy’s tactics and wisdom to respond in a way that brings glory to Your name.
Father, we pray that You would strengthen them in their faith and help them to stand firm in the armor of God. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus, and we pray that they would walk in the victory that You have already won for them. Surround them with godly believers who will encourage and support them, and help them to remain in fellowship with the body of Christ.
We thank You, Lord, that You are faithful and that You will complete the good work You have begun in them. We trust in Your promise that *"He who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ"* (Philippians 1:6). We declare that the enemy’s tactics will not prevail, and that Your purposes for their life will be fulfilled. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
