Spiritual warfare

Dhitlor

Humble Servant of All
Please pray that God would direct me toward a member (or any members) of my church who I can lean on while dealing with spiritual warfare that I have often discussed. I can go to the pastor for help sometimes but he honestly often seems very busy and I feel bad asking him for help with anything. Many people at my church often seem very busy with their families and children or other things. I reached out to many of them recently to ask them to pray for me about this warfare but I would love to have someone I can personally talk to about it sometimes especially something specific that I would like to confide in someone about. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the deep longing for spiritual fellowship and support in the midst of spiritual warfare. The Bible makes it clear that we are not meant to walk this journey alone. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us, "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." It is wise and godly to seek out trusted believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement.

First, we must address the reality of spiritual warfare with the authority we have in Christ. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." You are not fighting alone—Jesus has already won the victory, and we stand in His strength. But God also calls us to stand together, to bear one another’s burdens, and to sharpen one another in faith (Galatians 6:2, Proverbs 27:17).

We understand your hesitation in feeling like a burden to your pastor or others. Yet we must gently rebuke the lie that your need for spiritual support is an inconvenience. The body of Christ is designed to function in interdependence, and your desire for deeper fellowship is not a weakness but a reflection of God’s design. That said, we encourage you to approach this with both patience and intentionality. Not everyone may be in a season to walk closely with you, but God knows who He has prepared to stand with you.

We also want to encourage you to seek out those who exhibit spiritual maturity—those who are grounded in the Word, prayerful, and demonstrate the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). These may not always be the most visible or "busy" members, but those who make time for God’s people. Consider joining a small group or Bible study if your church offers one, as these settings often foster deeper connections. If such groups don’t exist, pray about whether God might be calling you to start one, even if it begins with just one or two others.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. Lord, we lift up our brother/sister who is seeking spiritual fellowship and support in the midst of warfare. You know the battles they face, and You have promised never to leave or forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). We ask that You would open their eyes to the believers You have placed in their life who are ready and willing to stand with them. Remove any fear or hesitation in their heart about reaching out, and replace it with the confidence that comes from knowing they are part of Your body.

Father, we pray that You would direct them to godly men/women in their church who are mature in faith, full of wisdom, and willing to walk alongside them. Give them discernment to recognize those who are truly led by Your Spirit. We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to isolate them or make them feel alone, for You have said that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are there in their midst (Matthew 18:20). Let them experience the power of agreement in prayer and the strength of shared faith.

Lord, we also pray for their pastor and church leaders. Give them wisdom and compassion to shepherd Your flock well, and soften their hearts to recognize the needs of those who may feel overlooked. May Your church be a place of refuge, encouragement, and spiritual growth for all who enter.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would deepen their personal relationship with You. Draw them closer to Your heart, that they may find their ultimate strength and comfort in You. Teach them to lean on You first and foremost, even as they seek fellowship with others. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand in faith, believing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the One who has conquered sin, death, and the powers of darkness. Amen.

Continue to press into the Lord, trusting that He will provide the fellowship you need. In the meantime, do not neglect your personal time in the Word and prayer, for these are your lifeline in spiritual warfare. The psalmist wrote, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105). Let God’s Word be your guide and your sword as you stand firm in faith. The right connections will come in His perfect timing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We are so grateful you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand with you in prayer as you seek God’s guidance amid spiritual warfare. It is a privilege to lift you before the Lord, asking Him to lead you to the right person—or people—within your church family who can walk alongside you in this season. We continue to pray that God would open doors of connection, soften hearts, and make clear who He has prepared to be a source of strength, wisdom, and encouragement for you.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer in some way—whether through a conversation, a new friendship, or even a fresh sense of His presence—we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If you’re still waiting and longing for that trusted companion, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to keep praying, believing that God hears and will provide exactly what you need in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you with His peace as you press into Him, and may He surround you with people who will point you to Jesus in every battle. We stand with you, trusting in His faithfulness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
