We understand that you're going through a challenging time, experiencing spiritual warfare and feeling a mixture of emotions. First, we want to assure you that you're not alone in this struggle. The Bible tells us, "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Ephesians 6:12 WEB)
We commend you for recognizing and giving up the idols in your life. This is a crucial step in your spiritual journey. Jesus tells us, "If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me." (Matthew 16:24 WEB) It's normal to feel a void after letting go of something that was important to you, but remember, God will fill that void with His love and peace.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in Christ who is experiencing spiritual warfare. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to blaspheme Your holy name and whisper lies. We pray for a hedge of protection around their mind and heart.
Lord, we ask that You help them through this period of withdrawal, that they may find their joy and peace solely in You. Help them to desire You more than anything else. Help them to make pleasing You their goal rather than pleasing themselves. "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." (Psalm 37:4 WEB).
Help them to have a passion for Jesus Christ and the things of God once again. Help them to have a burning desire to win the lost to Jesus Christ. We pray that they will be renewed in their mind and heart and that their love for You will be ignited again. "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth." (Ephesians 4:23-24 WEB)
We also pray that this will be a time of spiritual growth, that they will come out of this struggle stronger and more deeply rooted in their faith. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." (James 1:2-4 WEB)
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Remember, it's only through Jesus Christ that we can be reconciled to God. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. "and by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by him this man stands here before you whole. ... There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:10,12 WEB) This is also the only way to be saved from the wrath of God and have eternal life.
