We join you in lifting up these five young men before the throne of grace and we thank God for your faithful intercession for the next generation of believers.

We pray that they will grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we read in 2 Peter 3:18, and that they may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that they may walk worthily of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God as promised in Col 1:9-12. We ask the Lord to pour out His blessing upon them according to Num 6:24-26, that Yahweh would bless them and keep them, make His face to shine upon them and be gracious to them, and give them peace. We ask for wisdom for each of them, for if any lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him according to James 1:5.

We pray their lives will be marked by the greatest commandments, to love the Lord with all their heart, soul, mind and strength and to love their neighbor as themselves according to Mark 12:30-31, and that their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, so that they may approve the things that are excellent according to Phil 1:9-10. May the goal of their lives be love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith according to 1 Tim 1:5, keeping their hearts pure and their consciences clear before God, preparing them to be men of integrity and, if it is God's will for them, to one day be godly husbands and fathers in marriages that honor Christ.

We pray for their healing and renewal, that they would not forget all His benefits, who forgives all sins, who heals all diseases, who redeems life from destruction and crowns with loving kindness according to Ps 103:2-5, remembering that by His wounds we are healed according to Isa 53:5 and 1 Pet 2:24. We ask that as newborn babies they will long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it they may grow according to 1 Pet 2:2, and that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to them a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of their hearts enlightened according to Eph 1:17-18. Teach them to pray as Jesus taught His disciples in Luke 11:1-4, to be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and to endure hardship as good soldiers of Christ Jesus according to 2 Tim 2:1-3, bold in evangelism and worship, rejoicing always, praying without ceasing and in everything giving thanks according to 1 Thess 5:16-18, and learning to bring every request to God with thanksgiving so that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus according to Phil 4:6-7.

We also stand together for their protection, asking the Father to bring them not into temptation but deliver them from the evil one according to Matt 6:13 and Luke 11:4, and as Jesus prayed, not that they would be taken from the world, but that they would be kept from the evil one according to John 17:15. May they be kept from sin and deceitful speech and walk in humility and truth. We thank You Father in advance for answering, believing that whatever we pray and ask for, if we believe that we have received them, we shall have them according to Mark 11:24. We entrust these young men into Your hands and pray all of this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.

We appreciate you bringing these five young men before the Lord so faithfully. Your care for their growth and protection comes through clearly, and we join you in lifting them up.

We have found it helps to remember that spiritual growth is usually slow and quiet, more like training over time than a single moment. There will be ups and downs, and each of these young men will grow a little differently because God works uniquely in each life. The steady habits that tend to nourish growth are simple and familiar, time in the Word, honest prayer, worship and fellowship with other believers, all dependent on the Holy Spirit to actually bring the growth.

One thing that often helps is to keep praying for each one by name through the week and, if you have opportunity, to walk alongside them in a very practical way, perhaps inviting them to read a short passage together and pray briefly, letting conversation and encouragement happen naturally.

Father, we lift these five young men to You and ask for Your blessing and wisdom over them. Draw them to love You, to hunger for Your Word, to grow in prayer and thankfulness, and keep them from temptation and the evil one. Give them pure hearts, good consciences and sincere faith, and help them walk in wise choices day by day. We trust them to Your care in Jesus' name, amen.

Your care for these five young men is a mark of love that the Lord delights to answer and we have carried your request to the mercy seat with thankfulness. How great is the importance of a young life and how needful to pray that the Lord will open the eyes of the young men that they may see Him who is their strength and shield.

We have asked the Father in Jesus name that these young believers may grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ according to 2 Peter 3:18 and that they may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding to walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God as in Colossians 1:9 to 12. We have prayed the Aaronic blessing over them that the Lord bless them and keep them and make His face to shine upon them according to Numbers 6:22 to 27, that God who gives wisdom liberally will grant it to them as they ask in faith according to James 1:5, that their love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment that they may approve things that are excellent according to Philippians 1:9 and 10, and that love may flow from a pure heart and a good conscience and sincere faith according to 1 Timothy 1:5.

We have prayed also that they may hunger for the pure milk of the Word that they may grow thereby according to 1 Peter 2:2, that the Father of glory may give unto them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him with enlightened eyes according to Ephesians 1:17 to 20, that they may grow in prayer as the disciples desired Lord teach us to pray according to Luke 11:1 to 11, that they may be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus and be faithful to teach others also according to 2 Timothy 2:1 to 3, that they may rejoice evermore and give thanks in everything according to 1 Thessalonians 5:16 to 18 and know the peace of God which passes all understanding according to Philippians 4:6 and 7, that the Lord who heals all our diseases and forgives all our iniquities according to Psalm 103:2 to 5 and by whose stripes we are healed according to Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 2:24 will restore and strengthen them in body and soul, and that they may love the Lord with all heart and soul and mind and love their neighbor as themselves according to Mark 12:30 and 31 in worship and evangelism with thankful hearts.

And we have earnestly prayed that the Lord will keep these young men from temptation and from sin and deliver them from the evil one. We have pleaded Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil according to Matthew 6:13 and that the Lord would keep them from the evil according to John 17:15, that they may be kept from guile and deceit according to Zephaniah 3:13, and that they may be preserved from the hour of temptation according to Luke 11:4. Young men in this city and in every place are greatly exposed and the enemy holds forth a sparkling cup in which death is lurking, yet the Word of God abiding in them is their strength and their defense. May they be kept from the paths of folly and from the company that would draw them aside, and may they be found abiding in Christ, watchful in prayer and clothed in humility.

We thank the Lord in advance believing that He hears the prayer of faith according to Mark 11:23 and 24 and we encourage you to continue in intercession and in instruction, placing the Word before them, laying bare their hearts to the Gospel as men bask in sunlight to be warmed, and commending to them the service of God which is good for this life and for that which is to come. May these five be as young men who are strong because the Word abides in them and who overcome the wicked one, to the praise of His grace. Amen in Jesus name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
