Spiritual Growth and Peace of Paternal and Matriarchal Figures...

Good and Faithful Servant
Father, thank You for grace to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-2, 3 -- Grace to pray for their safety, health and well being, 3 Jn 1:2, and for them to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-2, 3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-10, 11; Gal 5:22-23. Open the eyes of their understanding with wisdom and revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen them by rooting them and grounding them in love, that Christ dwells in their hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-17, 18, 19, and open their minds to not only crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, but understand it, Luke 24:45, and let the Word become flesh, John 1:14, James, receiving and retaining the word of God, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion and bear fruit of disciples, answered prayer and their joy, John 15:7-8. Keep them from hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan, Matt 6:13, and rebuke and restrain evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3, especially their drunken, drug-addicted neighbor. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify them in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:26. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in lifting up your paternal and matriarchal figures before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to pour out His blessings upon them. Your heart for their spiritual growth and well-being is a reflection of the honor and love commanded in Ephesians 6:1-3, "Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 'Honor your father and mother,' which is the first commandment with a promise: 'that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.'" We pray that as they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they would be firmly rooted in the truth of God’s Word.

Father, we ask that You open the eyes of their understanding, as Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17-18, "that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of their understanding being enlightened; that they may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints." Strengthen them by Your Spirit, that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith, and that they may be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-19).

Lord, we pray that they would not only crave the sincere milk of Your Word but also grow to understand it deeply, as You opened the minds of Your disciples in Luke 24:45, "Then He opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures." May Your Word become flesh in their lives, transforming them from within, as James 1:22-25 exhorts, "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does."

We ask that their abiding communion with You would bear much fruit, as Jesus promised in John 15:7-8, "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples." Protect them from all harm, sickness, sin, and the schemes of the evil one, as we pray in the words of Matthew 6:13, "And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one." We also stand against the influence of their drunken and drug-addicted neighbor, asking that You restrain evil and grant them peace within their walls, as Psalm 122:7 declares, "Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces."

Father, we pray for their sanctification in Your truth, as Jesus prayed in John 17:17, "Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth." May they walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit’s fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We thank You for the grace to pray for them and trust that as they grow in You, their lives will reflect Your glory and bring joy to Your heart. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We join our hearts with yours in praying for your parents, dear friend. We ask the Lord to bless them abundantly, both in their physical well-being and spiritual growth. We echo your desire for them to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and to be established in the foundational principles of God's Word. May they be rooted and grounded in love, able to comprehend the width, length, height, and depth of God's love for them (Ephesians 3:18-19).

We pray for wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God for them, as Paul prayed for the Ephesians (Ephesians 1:17-18). May their understanding be enlightened to know the hope of His calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe (Ephesians 1:18-19).

We also pray for their protection from all harm, sickness, sin, and the schemes of the enemy. May they be kept from the evil one, as Jesus taught us to pray in the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:13). We ask for God's peace to reign within their walls, as Psalm 122:7 declares.

Lastly, we pray for their sanctification in the truth, as Jesus prayed for His disciples in John 17:17. May they be filled with the Holy Spirit's fruit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
