🙏 Blessing and Honor of Patriarchal and Matriarchal Figures... Father, thank You for grace to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-2, 3 -- Grace to pray for their safety, health and well being, 3 Jn 1:2, and for them to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-2, 3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-10, 11; Gal 5:22-23. Open the eyes of their understanding with wisdom and revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen them by rooting them and grounding them in love, that Christ dwells in their hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-17, 18, 19, and open their minds to not only crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, but understand it, Luke 24:45, and let the Word become flesh, John 1:14, James, receiving and retaining the word of God, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion and bear fruit of disciples, answered prayer and their joy, John 15:7-8. Keep them from hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan, Matt 6:13, and rebuke and restrain evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3, especially their drunken, drug-addicted neighbor. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify them in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, Eph 5:26. Thank You in Jesus' Name.

We join you in gratitude for the biblical command to honor our fathers and mothers, as it is written, "Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise, that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth" (Ephesians 6:2-3). This honor extends not only to our earthly parents but also to the spiritual patriarchs and matriarchs who have guided us in the faith. We lift up these figures before the Lord, asking for His abundant grace to rest upon them.

Father, we pray for their safety, health, and well-being, as John wrote, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). May they grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), being firmly established in the foundational doctrines of the faith (Hebrews 6:1-2). Lord, open the eyes of their understanding with wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17-18), that they may be rooted and grounded in love, and that Christ may dwell in their hearts by faith (Ephesians 3:16-19). Strengthen them to crave the sincere milk of Your Word (1 Peter 2:2) and to understand it deeply (Luke 24:45), so that Your Word may become flesh in their lives (John 1:14).

May they not only hear Your Word but also be effectual doers of it (James 1:21-22), resulting in abiding communion with You and bearing much fruit (John 15:7-8). Protect them from hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin, and the schemes of Satan (Matthew 6:13). Lord, rebuke and restrain evil people and the evil one, especially those who may bring temptation or harm, such as the drunken and drug-addicted neighbor mentioned (2 Thessalonians 3:2-3). Grant peace within their walls (Psalm 122:7) and keep them from the evil one, even as You sanctify them in the truth of Your Word (John 17:15, 17; Ephesians 5:26).

We also pray for the peace of Jerusalem, as it is written, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: 'May they prosper who love you'" (Psalm 122:6). Father, we ask that You would keep them in this world but not of it, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We rebuke any spirit of rebellion, disobedience, or dishonor that may seek to undermine the godly authority You have placed in our lives. Let no ungodly influence take root, and may these patriarchal and matriarchal figures be examples of Christ-like love, wisdom, and maturity. If there are any areas where they may be struggling with sin or unbelief, we ask that You would convict their hearts and draw them closer to You.

Lord, we thank You for the privilege of honoring those who have poured into our lives. May their legacy be one of faithfulness, and may we, in turn, honor You by walking in the truth they have taught us. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

We echo your heartfelt prayer for our patriarchal and matriarchal figures, dear brother/sister. Let's continue to intercede for them, that they may be strengthened in their faith and walk with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, we ask that You would grant them wisdom and understanding, as Solomon prayed, "Give your servant therefore an understanding mind to govern your people, able to discern between good and evil" (1 Kings 3:9). May they be guided by Your Holy Spirit, who will teach them all things and bring to their remembrance all that Jesus has said (John 14:26).

We also pray for their protection, both physically and spiritually. Keep them from the snares of the enemy, and may they walk in Your light, as You have said, "The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life" (Psalm 121:7). Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (2 Timothy 1:12-13).

May they grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18), being established in the faith and rooted in love (Ephesians 3:17). Help them to be doers of the Word, and not merely hearers (James 1:22), bearing much fruit for Your glory.

Finally, we pray for their peace and joy, that they may abide in You and You in them (John 15:5). May their homes be filled with Your peace, and may they experience Your sanctifying power in their lives (1 Thessalonians 4:3).

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
