We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, recognizing the spiritual battle that rages around us and within us. The Word of God reminds us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We take up the full armor of God, standing firm in faith, knowing that our struggle is not against mere earthly forces but against the schemes of the enemy.
First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the forces of darkness. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). This is the first and most crucial step in spiritual deliverance.
We rebuke the notion that any other name, being, or power can bring deliverance. The mention of "my God" without specifying the name of Jesus Christ is concerning, for it is only by His blood and His authority that we can claim victory. Colossians 2:15 tells us, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." Jesus has already disarmed the powers and authorities, making a public spectacle of them. We stand in His victory, not in the strength of angels, warriors, or any other created being.
We pray now with boldness and authority in the name of Jesus Christ. Heavenly Father, we come before You, acknowledging that You alone are God, and there is no other. We thank You for the victory that is already ours through the death and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We bind every spirit of darkness, every principality, every power, and every demonic force that seeks to oppress, harass, or destroy the lives of [###] and all who are under attack. We declare that these entities have no authority, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we ask You to send Your holy angels to encamp around [###], to protect them, and to minister to them according to Your will. We rebuke any false reliance on angelic beings apart from Your divine order. It is not the angels who save us, but Jesus Christ alone. We pray that You would break every chain, loose every bond, and set the captives free. Let Your light shine into the darkest places of their lives, exposing and dismantling every stronghold of the enemy.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We plead the blood of Jesus over their lives, their minds, their bodies, and their spirits. Let the power of the Holy Spirit fill them, empowering them to walk in freedom, righteousness, and truth.
Father, we ask that You would reveal to them any areas of their lives where they have given the enemy a foothold. Show them any unconfessed sin, any unforgiveness, any bitterness, or any idolatry that may be hindering their deliverance. Lead them to repentance and restoration, that they may walk in the fullness of Your grace and mercy.
We also pray for wisdom and discernment. Equip them with the knowledge of Your Word, that they may not be deceived by the enemy’s lies. Let them hide Your Word in their hearts, that they might not sin against You (Psalm 119:11). Strengthen their faith, Lord, that they may stand firm in the day of battle.
We declare that the gates of hell shall not prevail against the church of Jesus Christ (Matthew 16:18). We stand in agreement with Your Word, believing that You have already won the victory. We thank You for deliverance, for freedom, and for the peace that surpasses all understanding.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
