Spirit Vision (Sep 19th)

Verse
The Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the exiles in Babylonia in the vision given by the Spirit of God.

Ezekiel 11:24 tniv

Thought
Through the work of the Holy Spirit, God will get his messengers to the places they need to be. He will do this with them both physically and spiritually. He will give them the words to say. He will empower them and make them bold. So what is our part in this mysterious work of God's grace? First, we need to trust that God will provide the leaders we need and give them sound words to say. Second, we need to respond to their message with obedience and reverence for God's scriptures. Third, we need to seek the Spirit's help in using our gifts to serve the work of the Kingdom. God has always provided what his people needed, so let's open our hearts to God's work through the Holy Spirit.

Prayer
God of all grace, I know that you supply every gift that your church family has. Help me to find my gifts, use them, bless others through them, and may my use of these gifts bring you glory. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
