Spiriitual differences

We share many traits with our families. But one thing we don't always share with them is our spiritual outlook. We can be miles apart there. In my own case, I always took an interest in Biblical things, and eventually came to the Truth and became saved. However, those around me took a completely different path.My mother was always fascinated with the occult,as far back as I can remember. So my sister followed that, after hearing it just blindly believed, and closes her mind when you try to tell her otherwise. My aunt ,who at one point I thought might be coming to the Truth, I was wrong. Sadly, she reinforced her anti-Christian rhetoric, and also believes in evolution, and aliens from ufos, which most Christians believe is a demonic deception.Alot of my other relatives fell for the occult over time. {And I've seen the other way around.where there's a Christian mother, grounded in the Word, and the son is a drug addict ,and a thief with a criminal record.}So my point, salvation is an individual decision, and we don't "inherit" it from our families. We may inherit a lot of things, but our spiritual state is not one of them.We all follow our own spiritual paths.Right or wrong?

Lord Jesus, we pray You break the spiritual bondage this family is in, open their eyes to the Truth and restore harmony among all members.

In Jesus' name, amen

Chuck Swindoll has a nice little booklet on the occult. I was just reading it tonight!
