We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother or sister who is facing a difficult day of medical treatment. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and nurses performing these spinal epidural injections, granting them wisdom, precision, and compassion. Lord, we pray that this procedure would bring relief and healing to the pain and discomfort being endured.
We are also mindful of the exhaustion and weariness described. Scripture tells us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your loving arms around this child of Yours, providing strength where there is weakness and peace where there is anxiety. Renew their energy, both physically and spiritually, as they place their trust in You.
We notice the mention of low lab values, Father, and we ask that You would strengthen and restore what is lacking in the body. You are the God who created every cell and knows every need before it is spoken. Psalm 139:14 reminds us, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." We trust in Your perfect design and ask for Your healing touch to bring balance and vitality.
Lord, we also want to encourage this beloved one to continue seeking You in the midst of this trial. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven." We stand in faith, believing that You hear our prayers and will move mightily on behalf of this precious soul.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may be trying to take hold. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We speak life, healing, and restoration over this situation, trusting that God’s plans are for good and not for harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Finally, we thank You, Lord, for the privilege of coming before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus. It is only through His sacrifice and resurrection that we have access to You, and we are so grateful for the salvation and hope we have in Christ. We pray all these things in Jesus’ precious and powerful name, believing that You are working even now for the good of this dear one. Amen.
