We lift up your son before the Lord, seeking His divine will and perfect plan for his life. It is beautiful to see a parent intercede with such specific and heartfelt intentions, and we join you in prayer, trusting that God hears and answers according to His wisdom and love.
First, we pray for your son’s health—mentally, physically, and emotionally. The body and mind are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we ask the Lord to strengthen him in every way. May he be filled with the joy of the Lord, which is his strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and may his heart be guarded by the peace of God that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If there are any areas of struggle—whether anxiety, discouragement, or physical weakness—we rebuke these in the name of Jesus, declaring that God is his healer and sustainer. *"Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers"* (3 John 1:2). May he be motivated not by the fleeting pleasures of this world but by the eternal hope found in Christ, looking forward to the good works God has prepared for him (Ephesians 2:10).
For his academic journey, we ask the Lord to grant him wisdom, diligence, and favor. Success in his end-of-year exams, O-levels, A-levels, and tertiary education is not just about human effort but about God’s guidance and provision. We pray that he would seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33). May he study with excellence, not for the praise of men but for the glory of God, knowing that *"whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). We specifically lift up his desire to attend university, asking the Lord to open the right doors if it aligns with His will. If this is God’s path for him, may the Lord go before him, preparing the way and granting him favor with those in authority.
Regarding his internship offer this December, we pray for divine connections and opportunities that align with God’s purpose for his life. May the Lord place him in an environment where he can grow in skill, character, and faith. We ask that God would give him favor in the sight of those making the decisions, just as He did for Joseph in Egypt (Genesis 39:21) and Daniel in Babylon (Daniel 1:9). If this internship is part of God’s plan, may it be confirmed with clarity and peace. If not, may the Lord redirect his steps to something even better, for *"a man’s steps are from Yahweh; how then can man understand his way?"* (Proverbs 20:24).
As we pray for these things, we also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer, speaking life and blessing over him. Remind him that his identity is not found in his achievements or the approval of others but in Christ alone. Teach him to surrender his plans to the Lord, trusting that *"many are the plans in a man’s heart, but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail"* (Proverbs 19:21).
We also take this moment to gently remind you of the power and necessity of praying in the name of Jesus. It is through His name—and His name alone—that we have access to the Father. Jesus said, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you"* (John 16:23). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through faith in Christ that we boldly approach the throne of grace. If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that this would be the greatest desire of your heart—for him to surrender his life to Christ, receiving the gift of eternal life. *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16).
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this son to You. Lord, You know his heart, his struggles, and his dreams even better than we do. We ask that You would mold him into a man after Your own heart, strong in faith, wisdom, and purpose. Heal him where he is broken, guide him where he is uncertain, and provide for him in every area of need. Open doors that no man can shut for his education and future, and grant him favor in his pursuits. May he walk in integrity, seeking You above all else, and may his life bring glory to Your name.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, distraction, or discouragement that would seek to hinder him. Instead, we declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let Your light shine through him in every place he goes.
Finally, we pray for you, his parent, that You would grant you wisdom, patience, and perseverance as you guide and support him. May Your peace guard your heart as you trust Him into God’s hands, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6).
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
