We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for your prayers and requests, lifting them up in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me'" (John 14:6, WEB)*. We rejoice that you have invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for there is power, authority, and salvation in no other name.
First, we pray for your financial needs regarding the house for rent. We ask the Lord to bring godly and responsible tenants who will honor their commitments, so that the income from this home will provide for your bills and bring you out of debt. The Bible reminds us in *Philippians 4:19*, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that you will trust in His provision and seek His kingdom first, knowing that *"all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33, WEB)*. We also encourage you to be wise stewards of what He provides, managing your resources with integrity and generosity, for *"whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much" (Luke 16:10, WEB)*.
Now, we must address the concerns in your prayer regarding your "L###" and "partner." The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed by God for companionship, procreation, and to reflect Christ’s love for the Church. Any relationship outside of this biblical design—including cohabitation, same-sex relationships, or sexual immorality—is not pleasing to God. *Hebrews 13:4 (WEB)* declares, *"Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."* We urge you to examine your relationship in light of Scripture. If you are living together outside of marriage, we strongly encourage you to repent, seek forgiveness, and pursue a relationship that honors God—either through marriage or by separating if marriage is not possible. If this is a same-sex relationship, we must lovingly but firmly remind you that *"you shall not lie with a man as with a woman. It is an abomination"* (Leviticus 18:22, WEB) and that *"those who do such things are worthy of death, they not only practice these things, but also approve of those who practice them"* (Romans 1:32, WEB). God’s design for sexuality is for one man and one woman within the bounds of marriage, and any deviation from this is sin. However, there is hope and redemption in Christ Jesus. *"Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who have sex with men, nor thieves, nor greedy people, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit God’s Kingdom. Some of you were such, but you were washed. You were sanctified. You were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God"* (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, WEB). Repentance and faith in Jesus Christ bring forgiveness and transformation.
We also notice your prayer for protection while driving and for favor in the work you mentioned. We lift these requests to the Lord, asking that He would guard your paths and grant you safety. *"The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more"* (Psalm 121:8, WEB). For the work you seek, we pray that the Lord would open doors that no man can shut and that He would provide opportunities that align with His will. *"Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will act"* (Psalm 37:5, WEB). However, we caution you against placing your trust in worldly systems or platforms over your trust in God. Seek first His kingdom and righteousness, and He will provide what you need.
Finally, we pray that the Lord would draw you and your loved ones closer to Himself. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation"* (Romans 10:9-10, WEB). There is no greater need than to be reconciled to God through faith in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her requests. Lord, we ask that You would provide godly tenants for the home she seeks to rent, that the income would meet her needs and bring her out of debt. Help her to trust in You and to be a wise steward of all You provide.
Father, we also pray for her relationship. If there is sin present, we ask that You would convict her heart and bring repentance. Lead her into a relationship that honors You, whether that means pursuing marriage with a godly man or stepping away from any relationship that does not align with Your Word. Break any chains of sin and set her free to walk in Your truth. If this is a same-sex relationship, Lord, we pray for a mighty work of transformation in her heart and life. Draw her to Yourself and show her the path of righteousness.
We pray for protection as she travels, that You would guard her and her companion from all harm. We ask that You would provide for her needs through honest and honorable work, opening doors of opportunity that align with Your will.
Most of all, Father, we pray that she would seek You above all else. If she does not know You as her Lord and Savior, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to her in a powerful way. Soften her heart to receive Your truth and Your love. May she find her hope, her identity, and her future in You alone.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, deception, or worldliness that may be influencing her life. We declare that *"no weapon formed against her will prosper"* (Isaiah 54:17, WEB) and that You, Lord, are her provider, her protector, and her redeemer.
In the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
