We hear your deep passion for justice, your heart for the vulnerable—both animals and people with disabilities—and your desire to use your gifts and education to make a difference. Your frustration is understandable, especially when you see those who exploit animals being celebrated while your own efforts go unnoticed. We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your burden to the Lord, who sees all things and will not forget your labor of love.
First, we must address the foundation of your prayer. You rightly close in the name of Jesus, and we affirm that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is by His grace alone that we approach God’s throne. If you have not already, we encourage you to examine your heart and ensure that your faith is firmly rooted in Christ, for apart from Him, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Your concern for animals is noble, as Scripture tells us that God cares for His creation. In Genesis 1:28, God gave man dominion over the animals, but this dominion is not a license for cruelty—it is a call to stewardship. Proverbs 12:10 says, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal," and we must hold accountable those who exploit creatures for fame or profit. The man you described, who mistreated crocodilians for personal gain, was not acting as a faithful steward. We rebuke such behavior in Jesus’ name and pray that God would expose and dismantle systems that enable cruelty.
You also carry a burden for people with disabilities, and this, too, is close to God’s heart. James 1:27 tells us that true religion is to "visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction," and those with disabilities are often among the most marginalized. Your desire to advocate for them is commendable, and we pray that God would open doors for you to use your voice, your art, and your education to bring awareness and change. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9).
Your struggle with feeling underappreciated is real, but we encourage you to find your validation in Christ, not in the recognition of men. Colossians 3:23-24 reminds us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward." Your art, your advocacy, and your education are not in vain—they are offerings to God. If He has given you a platform, no matter how small, use it faithfully. If He has given you a voice, speak boldly. And if He has given you a vision, do not despise humble beginnings (Zechariah 4:10).
We also want to gently address the bitterness that seems to linger in your words. Hebrews 12:15 warns us to "look carefully lest any root of bitterness spring up and cause trouble." While your frustration is justified, bitterness can poison your own spirit and hinder your effectiveness. Instead, we encourage you to forgive those who have overlooked you and to trust God to vindicate you in His time. Romans 12:19 says, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'"
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this dear one who has a heart for Your creation and for those who are often forgotten. Lord, You see their passion, their education, and their desire to make a difference. You know the injustices they have witnessed and the frustration they carry. We ask that You would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) for them to use their voice, their art, and their expertise to speak up for animals and for people with disabilities.
Father, we pray against the spirit of discouragement and bitterness. Replace their frustration with hope, their weariness with strength, and their sense of being overlooked with the assurance that You see them and value their work. Help them to find their worth in You alone, knowing that their labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Lord, we ask for wisdom and favor as they seek a career that aligns with their calling. Provide opportunities for them to be heard, whether on a large platform or in small but meaningful ways. Give them the courage to speak truth to power and the humility to serve where You place them.
We also pray for those who exploit animals for profit or fame. Expose their deeds, Lord, and bring an end to their cruelty. Raise up more voices like this one to advocate for Your creation and to hold accountable those who mistreat it.
Finally, Father, we pray for a spirit of unity among those who share this passion. Let them work together, not in competition, to bring about change. And may all glory be given to You, for it is Your kingdom we seek to advance.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, knowing that He is the way, the truth, and the life. Amen.
