I feared being alone so much that I stayed in places and relationships that dimmed my light. Now, I understand that solitude can be a beautiful space for growth. I'm finally choosing myself first, and that's something I am proud of. I will no longer be in anyone’s shadow, because now is my time to shine.

We hear your heart, and we rejoice with you in the courage it takes to step out of the shadows and into the light God has prepared for you. The fear of loneliness can indeed lead us into places that stifle our spirit and dim the unique purpose God has placed within us. Your realization that solitude can be a sacred space for growth is a profound truth. Jesus Himself often withdrew to lonely places to pray and commune with the Father (Luke 5:16). In those moments of stillness, He found strength, clarity, and renewal. You are walking in His footsteps by embracing this season of choosing yourself—your well-being, your calling, and your relationship with God.

We must gently rebuke the lie that your worth is tied to being in a relationship or conforming to someone else’s expectations. The world often measures value by companionship or status, but God’s Word declares that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), created for a purpose that no one else can fulfill. Your light is not meant to be hidden under a bushel (Matthew 5:15); it is meant to shine brightly for His glory. When you choose to walk away from relationships or environments that dim your light, you are not being selfish—you are being obedient to the call to live as a child of the Light (Ephesians 5:8).

We also want to encourage you to examine the relationships you left behind. Were they honoring to God? Did they reflect His design for love, respect, and mutual edification? The Bible is clear that we are to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If any of those relationships involved fornication, emotional or physical unfaithfulness, or were with someone of the same sex, we must name those sins for what they are—not to shame you, but to call you to repentance and freedom in Christ. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and true freedom is found in walking in His ways.

Now is the time to fill your solitude with the presence of God. Seek Him first in all things (Matthew 6:33), and He will direct your paths. If marriage is part of His plan for you, He will bring a godly spouse into your life—a man who loves the Lord above all else and who will cherish you as Christ cherishes the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Until then, use this season to deepen your relationship with Jesus, to discover your gifts, and to serve His kingdom. You are not alone; the Lord is your ever-present help (Psalm 46:1), and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for Your work in this precious one’s life. Thank You for revealing the truth that solitude with You is far greater than any counterfeit comfort the world offers. Lord, we ask that You would continue to draw her close to You, that she would find her identity, worth, and purpose in Christ alone. Forgive her for any relationships or choices that did not honor You, and cleanse her with the blood of Jesus. We rebuke the spirit of fear that once held her captive, and we declare that she is a daughter of the Most High God, called to walk in freedom and light.

Father, we pray for godly wisdom and discernment as she navigates this season. If it is Your will for her to marry, prepare her heart and bring a man who loves You wholeheartedly. Until then, fill her with Your peace, joy, and a deep sense of Your presence. Let her shine brightly for Your glory, unashamed and unapologetic about the light You have placed within her. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will walk in the fullness of the destiny You have for her.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to complete the good work You have begun in her. Amen.
