We cannot have love without truth and we should not have truth without love.
We must avow truth in Godly love. This does not mean that our words have to be overrun with shallow, syrupiness, while backhandedly, kicking a person while they are down, under the false label of “tough love,” for such only serves to destroy. While it is possible and to speak the truth void of love, it is absolutely impossible to love, without truth. Yet, because God is love and truth, the two must go hand in hand. So called love, without truth, is nothing more than a lie. All lies are of the devil, for he is the father of them. Therefore, we must speak truth to power in love. This is difficult for man to achieve in his humanness, BUT GOD, having foreknown it, enables us to triumph through the spirit, the Holy Spirit, whom He sends to help us, that we may be taught to love correctly, IN TRUTH; and speak correctly, IN LOVE. When we say that we have love, yet we refuse to even acknowledge the truth, we quench the Holy Spirit, who is truth. To quench the Holy Spirit is blasphemy: Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into ALL TRUTH
When evil comes face to face with truth, it identifies it as an enemy, to be ignored, silenced and denounced. Paul said it best in Galatians 4:16: "Have I now become your enemy because I am telling you the truth?"
Whether it’s a corrupt church, government, police department, corporation, family member, etc., the demonic spirit of pride, which is darkness, is ever working to infiltrate our hearts, and when allowed access, it disallows us from accepting truth, which is light. This is why we are warned in scripture to guard our hearts.
1 Thessalonians 5 19 Quench not the Spirit. 20 Despise not prophesyings. 21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. 22 Abstain from all appearance of evil. 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. 25 Brethren, pray for us: In Jesus name, Amen
