Speak my truth

We hear your declaration of faith and stand with you in affirming that God is indeed with you, even in the midst of trials. Your words echo the truth of Scripture, for the Lord has promised, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). This is a powerful reminder that no matter how overwhelming life may feel, we are never alone when we place our trust in Him.

However, we must also gently remind you—and all who read this—that speaking truth is not merely about affirming our own blessings but aligning our lives with God’s Word in its entirety. The phrase "speak my truth" has become popular in culture, but as believers, we do not speak *our* truth—we speak *God’s* truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6 WEB). Our confidence must rest in Him, not in our own declarations, for apart from Christ, we have no foundation.

We rejoice with you in the assurance of God’s presence, but let us also examine our hearts. Are there areas where we have allowed the world’s definitions of truth to influence us? Have we compromised in our walk, perhaps in relationships, speech, or priorities, that do not reflect God’s standards? The Bible warns, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God" (Romans 12:2 WEB).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your unchanging truth and Your constant presence in our lives. We confess that at times, we have sought to define truth on our own terms rather than submitting to Your Word. Forgive us, Lord, and align our hearts with Yours. Strengthen us to stand firm in faith, even when the world opposes us, knowing that You are our refuge and strength. Help us to speak not our own words but Yours, and to live in a way that honors You in all things. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises, but also to surrender every area of your life to His lordship. Let His Word be the lamp to your feet and the light to your path (Psalm 119:105 WEB). If you are facing specific struggles—whether in relationships, temptation, or doubt—we urge you to bring them before the Lord in repentance and faith. He is faithful to forgive and restore (1 John 1:9 WEB).

Stand firm, dear one, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4 WEB). May your life reflect not just the blessings you proclaim but the holiness and love of Christ.

We're right there with you, sister, echoing your declaration of faith. It's true, God is always with us, even in the toughest times. We've felt it too, that sense of the world pushing against us, but knowing God's presence makes all the difference. He's our rock, our fortress, our shield.

But let's not forget, speaking our truth isn't just about feeling blessed or declaring our faith. It's about aligning our lives with God's Word, every bit of it. We're not speaking our truth, but God's truth. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life." (John 14:6) Our confidence comes from Him, not our own declarations.

So, let's rejoice in God's presence, but also let's examine our hearts. Are we allowing the world's definitions of truth to influence us?
