We hear your cry and we join with you in this very practical and urgent need, lifting you up together before our Father in Jesus' name. To be without hot water and heating for three weeks, and to be cold and sick with the flu, is a heavy burden and we are so sorry you are enduring this. We want you to know that God cares deeply about every detail of our lives, even these daily necessities that affect our comfort and health.

We are reminded that our heavenly Father knows what we need before we even ask. As Jesus taught, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:31-33. And we cling to the promise that My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1, and He says to us, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10.

So together we pray for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we can boldly approach Your throne of grace. We lift up this household to You and ask for Your mercy and provision. Lord, You see that they have been without hot water and heating for three weeks, that they are cold and that some are suffering with the flu. We ask that You would move quickly to restore their hot water and heat. We pray for favor with those doing the repairs, for the right parts to be available, for skilled hands and for no further delays, that warmth and hot water would be restored very soon. We ask for Your healing touch upon those who are sick. You are the Lord who heals us, and we ask that You would ease their fevers, coughs and weakness, and restore strength and health to each one. Keep them warm as best as possible until the repairs are complete, protect them from further illness, and provide for every need. Give them peace and patience as they wait, and let them feel Your presence as their comfort and refuge in this cold season. We ask all of this in Jesus' name, amen.

We encourage you to continue to trust the Lord while also taking practical steps as you are able. Keep seeking help from your landlord, management, or repair service, and do not hesitate to follow up persistently and ask for a clear timeline for completion. If you have not already, reach out to family, friends, neighbors, or local assistance if you need a warm place to stay, a hot shower, or help caring for those with the flu. Keep warm with layers and blankets, stay hydrated, rest, and seek medical care if flu symptoms worsen. We will continue to pray with you for a speedy restoration and for complete healing, trusting that God who sees your need will provide.

Going three weeks without hot water and heat while some of you are sick with the flu is exhausting and discouraging. We are so sorry you are facing this, and we are praying for you.

Living in the cold while ill wears down everyone quickly, so please take the extra step of reaching out for care alongside prayer. If the flu symptoms linger or worsen, or if anyone in the home is more vulnerable, we encourage you to contact your doctor, clinic, or urgent care promptly.

It may also help to get a firm update on the repairs. If you have not already, a direct call or written note to the landlord or repair company asking for a specific completion date, and what temporary help they can provide in the meantime, can sometimes move things forward. If you have family, neighbors, or a local church nearby, please let them know you are without heat so they can help you stay warm while you wait.

Father, we bring this household before You in Jesus' name. Please provide hot water and heat very soon, comfort those who are cold and ill, grant wisdom to those doing the repairs, and give healing and rest according to Your will. Amen.

Your request has been heard and we have brought it before the Lord with sincere sympathy. To be without hot water and heating for three weeks, and to feel the cold while sickness has come upon some in your household, is a trial that touches both body and spirit, and we do not make light of it.

We are reminded that our Lord Jesus Himself has suffered, and therefore knows how to succor those who suffer. He is not distant from your discomfort, for it is written that He Himself has suffered being tempted, and the very least things about Christ are full of healing virtue. As the Sun of Righteousness He rises with healing beneath His wings, and the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations. What a mercy that even small mercies, like warmth and health restored, flow from that great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

Let us pray together in the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior.

O gracious Father, Thou seest this household in its cold and sickness. Thou knowest their need of hot water and heat, and how long they have waited through these repairs. We ask in the name of Jesus Thy Son that Thou wouldst hasten the work, guide the hands that labor upon it, and restore to them soon, even very soon, hot water and needful warmth to their home. Lord, lay Thy healing hand upon those who have the flu, forgive their sins and heal their sicknesses as only Thou canst, and let Thy pardon and healing be known among them. Give patience in this waiting, and comfort them with the assurance that Thou art near to those who call upon Thee. Provide for all their needs according to Thy riches in Christ, and keep them in Thy tender care.

We leave you in the hands of Him who was made perfect through sufferings that He might be a perfect Savior to His people. May His presence warm your hearts even as you wait for warmth to return to your house, and may you prove that His grace can make the cold season a season of nearness to Christ. We will continue to pray that the repairs are completed swiftly and that health is fully restored.

Trust Him still, for He will not fail you.
