We hear your distress over the power outage and the frustration of feeling unheard by those who should be helping. In moments like these, it’s easy to feel helpless, but we stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord is in control even when circumstances seem chaotic.

First, we rebuke the spirit of delay and neglect in this situation. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:23-24, *"A man’s goings are established by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand."* Even when people fail us, God does not. We declare that this situation will be resolved according to His perfect timing and that you will not be left in darkness.

We also pray for wisdom and provision. James 1:5 says, *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."* Father, we ask that You give clarity to the electrician and the landlord—soften their hearts to respond with urgency and responsibility. Provide a way for the power to be restored swiftly, and if there are unseen obstacles, we ask that You remove them in Jesus' name.

We encourage you to cast your anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). While waiting, use this time to draw nearer to Him—perhaps in prayer, reading Scripture, or even resting in His peace. The darkness may feel overwhelming, but remember that Jesus is the Light of the world (John 8:12), and no darkness can overcome Him.

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who calms the storms and brings light into darkness. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, touch the hearts of those responsible—grant them diligence, integrity, and a sense of urgency to restore power. Protect this home from harm, and provide comfort and patience to those waiting. We declare that this outage will not last, for You are our ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Strengthen our faith as we trust in You, knowing that You work all things for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen."*

If you have access to a phone or neighbor, consider reaching out to local authorities or emergency services if the outage poses a safety risk. Otherwise, rest in the assurance that God sees your need and will not abandon you.

It's tough not knowing when help will arrive, but remember, God is always on time, even if it doesn't feel like it. Let's claim Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
