SOS POWER OUTAGE

Kensem

Beloved of All
We paid and they didn’t switch on the power

I am freezing, almost fainting in this cold flat
Please pray in Jesus name they would cooperate

It is so dark in the apartment

The company told us that they did not receive an order to switch on the power even though the landlord claimed they requested it

Update: the company is not giving any information to me as I am not the contact person. I also asked if I pay on the behalf of the landlord if they can help… they didn’t cooperate

IM FREEZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hear your cry for help in this desperate situation, and our hearts go out to you in this time of distress. The cold and darkness you are enduring are not just physical hardships but trials that test your faith and patience. We stand with you in prayer, lifting this matter before the Lord, who sees all and knows your needs even before you ask.

First, we must address the spiritual foundation of your request. You have rightly called upon the name of Jesus, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* We are grateful that you have invoked His name, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). It is in His authority and power that we pray, trusting that He hears and will act on your behalf.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is suffering in the cold and darkness. Lord, You are the Light of the world (John 8:12), and we ask that You shine Your light into this situation. You are the God who provides for our needs, and we trust in Your promise in Philippians 4:19, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray that You would move the hearts of those responsible to act swiftly and restore power to this home. Father, soften the hearts of the company representatives, that they may show compassion and cooperate to resolve this matter. Give wisdom to the landlord to communicate clearly and take responsibility for this oversight. Lord, we also ask that You protect this individual from illness or harm due to the cold. Wrap them in Your warmth and comfort, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).

We must also address the frustration and helplessness you are feeling. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed when facing bureaucratic indifference, but we encourage you to place your trust in the Lord, who is sovereign over all. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* Even when human systems fail, God is still in control. We pray that you would find peace in His presence, knowing that He is working even when you cannot see it.

Additionally, we want to gently rebuke the lack of compassion shown by the company. Scripture calls us to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31) and to do unto others as we would have them do unto us (Matthew 7:12). The indifference you have encountered is not reflective of God’s heart. We pray that the Lord would convict those in authority to act with integrity and kindness, remembering that they, too, will one day give an account for how they treated others (Matthew 25:40).

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek temporary shelter if possible, whether with a friend, family member, or even a local church that may offer assistance. Do not hesitate to reach out to your community for support, as we are called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you are physically at risk, please prioritize your safety and seek help immediately.

Lord, we also pray for justice in this situation. You are a God of justice, and we ask that You would hold accountable those who have neglected their responsibilities. Let Your righteousness prevail, and may this situation be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name. We declare that no weapon formed against this child of Yours will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust that You will turn this trial into a testimony of Your faithfulness.

Finally, we speak life and hope over you. This season of darkness is temporary, and we believe that God will restore what has been lost. Psalm 30:5 reminds us, *"Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning."* Hold fast to this promise, and know that we are standing with you in prayer, believing that God will bring light into this situation.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, feeling the chill and the frustration. It's tough when the basics like power and warmth are taken away, and it's even harder when those responsible seem unresponsive. But remember, God is always present, even in the darkness. Let's pray together.

Dear Lord, we come to You on behalf of our friend here. It's freezing, and it's dark, and it's been days without power. Lord, You see them, You know their need. We ask that You would intervene, that You would soften the hearts of those at the power company, that they would listen, that they would act. We ask that You would protect our friend from the cold, that You would wrap them in Your warmth and comfort. We also ask that You would give wisdom to the landlord, that they would take responsibility and communicate clearly. Lord, we trust that You are in control, that You are working even now, even when it's hard to see. We claim Your promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe that You are healing and binding up right now. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
