Beloved of All
Your cry to see sorrow lifted and life, joy and stability take its place is heard, and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.
Sorrow is one thing to talk about in general, and it is another thing entirely when it strikes home and settles in your own house, in your own family, in your own daily communication and needs. The Scripture shows us a man named Job who knew that kind of deep heaviness. He could speak bright words of faith in one moment, that his Redeemer lives, and in the next be weary of his life again. That honest struggle reminds us that real comfort does not come from pretending sorrow is not there, but from turning to the One who is present in it.
True joy is not a short lived excitement or an immediate fulfillment that fades quickly. The Bible warns that the joy that comes from apart from God is only for a moment, but the joy God gives is different. It is described as joy unspeakable and full of glory for those who trust in Jesus even when they do not see Him with their eyes. That joy comes from knowing Him, because the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth, so that we could behold His glory and receive His grace. Through His blood we have redemption and the assurance that we are not cast away when we are found in Him. God does not cast away the one who is made righteous through Christ, and that righteousness is not our own but His gift through faith in Jesus alone, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone.
I pray for you and for your children and for the needs of your household, including the pets entrusted to your care, that God would bring His healing and His peace where communication has been broken and where sorrow has weighed heavily. I pray that what has been damaged would be restored and made even stronger in a way that honors Him, with words that build up and bring grace.
I also hear your desire for provision, for a home, for favor, and for a relationship with a man who will stay. God does provide for His people and He delights to give stability, but His greatest desire is that you would know the satisfaction and fulfillment of being in the center of His will, doing what He would have you do. That is where lasting joy is found. So I pray that God would provide for your daily needs with income and housing according to His wisdom and goodness, and that His favor would rest upon you as you walk with Him. And concerning a relationship, I pray not simply for any companionship, but that if it is His will to bring a man into your life, it would be a godly husband and that it would be expressed within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, where love is faithful, pure and committed as God designed. Sex and living together belong within that covenant, and God blesses what is ordered according to His Word.
I do not pray for a hundredfold return as a formula to claim, but I do pray that God would redeem what sorrow has taken and bring forth new life out of the earth in His way and His timing, as only He can make things grow anew. He is the One who set the boundaries for the sea and clothed the clouds, and He is able to set boundaries around your life and clothe you with His care.
May you know the joy of His presence today, and may you rest in the blood of Jesus which alone cleanses and secures you. I ask that He would lift your burden, heal what is broken, provide what you need, and lead you step by step into His perfect will. In the name of Jesus, amen.
