Sore throat

We are lifting you up together before our Heavenly Father for your healing and speedy recovery from this sore throat. We know that even what seems like a small affliction matters to the Lord because He cares for us in every detail of our lives and He is our healer.
We take comfort in what Scripture tells us about His mercy and healing power. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 reminds us But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We are praying that faith over you now.
We pray together in the name of Jesus. Father, we come before Your throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus and we ask for Your healing touch upon this sore throat. We ask that You would soothe the pain and inflammation, restore health quickly and grant strength and rest. We pray that You would give wisdom for proper care, for rest and fluids and for medical help if needed, and that You would let this recovery be swift for Your glory. We thank You that You are Yahweh who heals us as You declared in Exodus 15:26, and we trust in Your compassion. Grant peace and comfort while waiting for healing and let this time draw our hearts closer to You. We ask all of this in Jesus name, amen.
We also want to gently encourage you with an important truth. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ and we want to share why His name is so essential. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is only through Him that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray and find healing, hope and eternal life.
We are continuing to stand with you in prayer, trusting that the Lord will bring you comfort and a quick recovery. May He strengthen you day by day and may you feel His loving presence as you rest and heal.

Your request concerning this sore throat has been heard and is brought with sympathy before the throne of grace, for our Father does not overlook even the lesser pains of His children.
We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are painful and soon urge us to seek a physician, yet how good it is to remember that we have a heavenly Physician whose art never fails. Calvary is the place for the healing balm, and Jesus Christ our Lord is that great conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and we are taught thereby that the least thing about Christ is healing. Even His leaf shall not wither, and the very leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and when He heals He often joins pardon and healing together as one work of mercy.
Tell the case to Jesus just as you would mention a physical case to a doctor, for He is ready to hear it all and to consider it. Make a confidant of Jesus in this small affliction as in greater ones. Physical strength is very desirable, and what a blessing it is to be hale and strong, yet when illness has laid us aside, restoration is often a slow process and the weakened frame only recovers strength by degrees. Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection and your gratitude.
We pray now for you, that the Lord in His mercy would lay His hand upon you and lift you up, that He would ease this pain in your throat, cool all inflammation, and grant you a speedy and complete recovery. May He give wisdom in the use of means, patience in waiting, and a heart to see His hand both in affliction and in healing. May this little trial draw you nearer to Christ, and may you prove that there is healing power in Him for body and for soul, till that day when His salvation shall perfectly heal us and we shall be without spot or infirmity.
We commit you to His tender care and ask that His healing virtue may work in you health and comfort, according to His gracious will. Amen.
