Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart concerning your son. I am praying with you for him and I understand the weight of watching someone you love struggle with injury, with pain, and with the added stress of benefits and treatment decisions.
We can come to God with confidence about physical healing because healing is the work of God. When Jesus was in Galilee a nobleman came to Him about his sick son. Jesus simply spoke the word, and though His son was many miles away, the Spirit of God did a work and the boy was healed. Jesus made it clear that He did not work apart from the Father, but in complete harmony with Him. What He did was what the Father was doing. That is still true. The same power that raised the son of the widow in Nain, and Jairus daughter, and Lazarus who had been dead, belongs to God who makes alive even those who are dead. He has authority over the physical realm, over sickness and infirmity, and over every material need. We can trust Him for physical healing as well as spiritual healing.
Scripture also shows us that God can manifest His works even through a time of suffering. Jesus said He must work the works of Him who sent Him while it is day. In the case of the man born blind, the healing itself was the work of God being displayed. Not every trial has a simple cause and effect, but every trial is an opportunity for God to show His power and His mercy. Your sons injury and this setback with therapy can become a place where Gods strength and care are clearly seen.
I am praying for his body, that the Lord would bring healing according to His will, whether through continued therapy, through the skill of doctors, or by His own direct touch. I am also praying for wisdom and guidance regarding his benefits and the need for legal help. God promises wisdom when we ask Him, and He is able to direct steps and open the right doors. Even in difficult testings He is at work in us, shaping us and preparing us for what He wants to do through us. We can count on Him to work in the midst of this uncertainty and to provide what is needed. Jesus, though He is the only begotten Son of God, showed us the necessity of prayer for strength and guidance. How much more do we, as adopted sons and daughters through faith in Him, need to bring every need to the Father.
Let us pray together. Father, I bring this son before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your only begotten Son. You see his injury and his pain and the disappointment of this denial for further therapy. I ask that You touch his body and bring healing. Ease his pain, restore what has been injured, and give wisdom to his doctors. Manifest Your works in his life so that he and his family may know Your power and Your love. I ask also for Your clear guidance concerning his benefits. Lead him to honest and wise counsel if a lawyer is needed, and provide for every practical need. Give his mother peace as she waits on You, and help them both to trust Your grace and Your finished work through Jesus. Draw them closer to You through this trial and let them know You are working for their good. In Jesus name, Amen.
