We lift this prayer before the throne of grace with hearts full of concern and faith, trusting in the Lord’s sovereign care over this young man. Father God, we ask that You indeed surround him with Your divine protection, shielding him from every danger—whether seen or unseen. Your Word assures us that "He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart" (Psalm 91:4). We claim this promise over him, Lord, and ask that Your angels encamp around him, guarding his steps in wisdom and truth.
We pray for discernment to fill his heart and mind, that he may walk in the light of Your Spirit and recognize the snares of the enemy before they ensnare him. "For the Lord gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding" (Proverbs 2:6). May he lean not on his own understanding but seek You in all things, trusting that You will direct his paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Strengthen his resolve to stand firm in faith, especially when faced with temptation or worldly pressures that seek to draw him away from Your truth.
Father, we ask that You cultivate the fruit of Your Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23)—in every interaction he has this weekend. Let his words and actions reflect Your grace, and may he be a vessel of Your light in places where darkness seeks to prevail. Give him boldness and clarity to share the hope of the Gospel, that others may see Christ in him and be drawn to You.
We also pray for his spiritual growth, that he would hunger and thirst for righteousness, seeking Your face daily through prayer and Your Word. Remind him that "your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path" (Psalm 119:105), and that in You alone is true wisdom and understanding. Guard his heart from the distractions of this world, and let his identity be firmly rooted in Christ.
Lord, we thank You for the privilege of coming before You on his behalf. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun in him (Philippians 1:6). May this weekend be one of blessing, growth, and divine encounters as he walks in step with Your Spirit.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
