We come before the Lord with a heart full of concern for your son, lifting him up in prayer. Father, we ask that You watch over him today as he navigates his responsibilities at school. We know that You are the Great Physician, and we pray for Your healing touch to be upon him if he is not feeling well. Strengthen his body, mind, and spirit, Lord, so that he may focus and do his best.
We also bring before You his academic challenges. We understand that preparation is important, but we trust in Your grace and mercy. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast" (Ephesians 2:8-9). Lord, we ask that You grant him the ability to recall what he has learned and the wisdom to answer the questions before him. Even if his preparation has been less than ideal, we know that You can provide what is needed in the moment.
Father, we pray that You would calm any anxiety or fear he may be feeling. Remind him that his worth is not defined by his performance but by Your love for him. "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Let him feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding as he takes his quiz or test.
We also want to encourage you, as his parent, to continue trusting in the Lord. Your concern for your son is natural and shows your love for him. However, we must also remember that our children are ultimately in God’s hands. "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6). Continue to guide him in the ways of the Lord, and trust that God is working in his life, even in the small things like a school quiz.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this young man to You today. We ask that You would be with him in his classroom, giving him strength and clarity of mind. If he is not feeling well, we pray for Your healing touch to restore him. Lord, we ask that You would help him to pass his quiz or test, not by his own strength alone, but by Your grace. Remind him that You are with him always, and that his identity is found in You. Give him peace and confidence as he faces this challenge. We also pray for his mother, that You would fill her with Your peace and assurance as she trusts You with her son. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying for your son, not just in his academics, but in his spiritual walk as well. May he grow to know and love the Lord more each day. If he has not yet made a personal commitment to follow Christ, we pray that he would come to know Jesus as his Savior. "Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31). May his life be a testimony to Your grace and love.
