We are glad to join you in prayer for your son as he plays his soccer match today. While we pray for his performance, we also want to emphasize that the ultimate victory is in doing his best and honoring God in the process. As stated in
Colossians 3:23 WEB "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men,"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this beloved son to You. Lord, we pray for Your grace and strength to be upon him as he plays his soccer match today. Guide his steps, grant him wisdom and strategy, and help him to perform to the best of his abilities.
Father, we ask that You watch over him and protect him from any injury or harm. We pray for his health and well-being, both physically and spiritually. May this time of competition be a testament to his faith and character, and may he bring glory to Your name in all that he does.
Lord, we also pray that Your will be done in this match. We ask that You bless the outcome according to Your divine purpose, and that You use this experience to draw him closer to You.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who gives us access to Your throne of grace. It is only by His name that we can approach You and it is only by His name that we can be saved. As stated in
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
May this match also be a chance to witness about Jesus Christ to those around him.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
