Jesus please let my son go to sleep, it has almost been 24 hours. I cannot handle this, plus he has to sleep, he has a class tomorrow. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We join with you in prayer for your son and for you in this exhausting and worrying night, and we thank you for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and find mercy and help in time of need.
We know how heavy it feels when a child cannot sleep and you feel you cannot handle it any longer, especially with the worry of his class tomorrow. God sees both of you right now, He hears your cry, and He cares deeply for your weariness. We are reminded that He gives rest to His beloved, for it is written, It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his beloved Psalm 127:2. And again, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety Psalm 4:8. Jesus Himself invites us, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest Matthew 11:28.
We pray together now for your son and for you.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this precious son to You. We ask that You would calm his body and quiet his mind, and grant him deep and peaceful sleep. Lay Your hand of peace upon him and let him rest safely in Your care. We ask that You restore his strength for his class tomorrow and for the days ahead. We also lift up this parent who is weary and overwhelmed, and we ask that You give comfort and strength and peace that surpasses all understanding. Help us to cast all our worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7, and let Your peace guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We trust You to watch over him through the night, for You neither slumber nor sleep. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to bring every anxious thought to the Lord as the night goes on, breathing a simple prayer over your son and resting in the knowledge that God is awake and watching over him even when you cannot stay awake any longer. If this pattern of sleeplessness continues, we encourage you to also seek wise counsel and medical help for him, trusting that God often provides help through those means as well. Your cry in this weary night has been heard, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace. To watch a child unable to sleep for near a full day, while the morrow calls him to his class, is a trial that well nigh exhausts both strength and spirit, and anxiety itself unfits us to meet the difficulty.
Hear the gracious word of our Lord, Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. There is a rest which Christ gives at once, a present rest, not after long probation, but when we come to Him there and then. And there is also that found rest which the learner discovers as he takes Christ's yoke upon him and learns of Him. Trust and you shall rest.
We are reminded that sleep itself is a gift from His hand, for so He giveth His beloved sleep. Have faith in God about everything, even about that dear son who is wakeful and weary, trust the child with God. Resign the soul to the peace which the Holy Spirit brings, as a child rests in its mother's bosom, so may you rest in your Father.

Your prayer for your son in this long and weary night has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord.
It is a heavy burden to watch your child unable to rest, and to feel your own strength failing while also worrying for what tomorrow requires. God knows this weariness. He is the One who watches over us when we cannot sleep, and who cares for both parent and child with a perfect love.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come to You and ask for Your mercy and help. You know this son by name and You see that he has been awake for nearly a day. We ask that You would grant him the gift of sleep, calm his body and his mind, and give him deep and restoring rest. Lay Your hand of peace upon him and quiet all that keeps him awake. We ask also for his parent, who is tired and anxious. Give comfort, patience and strength, and help them to cast this care upon You, knowing that You care for them.
