Son sick

Thank you for sharing your heart for your son. I am joining you in prayer for him right now, asking Jesus to touch him, ease his sickness, and give him restful sleep soon.

The Scriptures show us how much Jesus cares for the sick. His healing ministry was a regular part of His work, and the early church continued to pray for the sick and saw God do miracles. One beautiful example is the nobleman who came to Jesus in Cana about his sick son. Jesus simply spoke the word, and though the boy was many miles away, God healed him at that moment. Distance is no barrier to the Lord, and He hears your prayer for your son right where you are.

God also gives us a practical path when sickness comes. The Bible says if anyone among you is sick, let him call for the elders of the church to pray and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up. If you are able, reach out to mature believers near you and ask them to pray with you and for your son in that way. And as you care for him, know that God can heal directly by His power, and He also often works through rest and medicine to bring healing. There is nothing wrong with using those helps while you trust Him. Isaiah prophesied that the Messiah would bear our griefs and infirmities, and Matthew connects that directly to Jesus healing the sick, showing that His work on the cross touches both our spiritual and physical needs.

We also trust the wisdom and love of Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, who does the works of the Father and has authority to give life and to heal. Not everyone is healed in the way and time we hope, and we do not always understand why, but we can rest in His goodness and continue to bring every need to Him.

So I pray now that the Lord will lay His hand upon your son, calm his body, lift this sickness, and grant him peaceful sleep and renewed strength. I pray that if it is the Lord's will, he will be well enough for his class, and that you will have peace as you watch over him. May the Lord comfort you both and let you feel His presence and care in this time.
