We join with you in lifting up your son before our Heavenly Father and we stand in agreement for his protection and deliverance. It is a beautiful and godly thing for a parent to plead for a hedge of protection around their child, just as it is written in Job 1:10, and we know our God hears the cries of a parent's heart.
We take comfort in the promises of Scripture that God is our refuge and defender. We are reminded that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways, Psalm 91:11, and that The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them, Psalm 34:7. We also cling to the truth that But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one, 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and that No weapon that is formed against you will prevail, Isaiah 54:17.
We also agree with you that every form of abuse and every deed of darkness must be exposed and brought into the light, for it is written Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them, Ephesians 5:11, and For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, Luke 8:17. We pray that the Lord will shine His light on any hidden harm and bring truth, justice, and healing, and we encourage you to continue to seek wise and godly counsel and to take every practical step to ensure his safety, including involving trusted authorities and spiritual leaders if abuse is occurring, for God calls us to protect the vulnerable.
We pray together for him now.
Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, and we lift up this precious son to You. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around him and to deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Lord, expose every deed of darkness that has been done against him and bring it into Your marvelous light so that truth may prevail and healing may begin. We ask You to command Your angels to encamp around him and to guard him in all his ways. Fill him with Your perfect peace which surpasses all understanding, Philippians 4:7, and strengthen him with Your presence, for You have said Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10. Restore to him joy, courage, and wholeness, and let him know deeply how loved and cherished he is by You. We trust him into Your faithful hands and pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
We encourage you to continue to cover him daily in prayer, to speak Scripture over him, and to remind him of God's unfailing love and protection. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and He is faithful to keep His children in His care.
