Beloved of All
We join you in lifting your son before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.
The Scriptures show us how deep a father's love for his son can be, and they use that love to help us understand the heart of God who so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. When the Father spoke from heaven at the baptism of Jesus He said, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. God knows the love you have for your son, and He cares for him even more.
We pray that God will place His hedge of protection around your son and deliver him from every form of harm, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Scripture teaches that light exposes the works of darkness, so we ask that whatever is hidden and harmful would be brought into the light and lose its power, and that truth would prevail. We ask that the Lord would station His angels around him and guard him, and that he would know the peace and strength that comes only from God.
We also pray that your son will come to know and remain in Jesus, the Son of God. The testimony of Scripture is that God has given us eternal life and this life is in His Son, and he who has the Son has life. Jesus was declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection from the dead, and His blood continually cleanses those who trust in Him. There is no safer place than to be found in Him.
As you continue to pray, keep yourselves in the love of God. His protection and blessing are not to be presumed upon while walking away from Him, but are known as we walk in truth, keep His commandments, and hide His word in our hearts. The wisdom given to a son in Proverbs is to receive God's words, incline the ear to wisdom, keep sound wisdom and discretion, and turn the foot away from the path where feet run to evil. The promise there is that when wisdom is kept, you will walk safely, your foot will not stumble, and when you lie down you will not be afraid.
May the Lord fill your son with His peace that guards heart and mind, strengthen him inwardly, and make him quiet from fear. May the Lord give you wisdom and comfort as you entrust him to the Father's care, and may both of you continue in the Son and in the Father, walking in truth and love.
We ask all of this in the name of Jesus, the Son of the Father, trusting the Father hears and answers according to His perfect will. Amen.
