Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace and we agree with you for his complete protection and deliverance.

Your prayer as a parent reflects the heart of God who is our refuge and defender, and it is beautiful to see you standing in the gap for your son and calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is in His name alone that we have access to the Father and find safety.

We are reminded of the promises of God for those who trust in Him. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust Psalm 91:1-2. And we cling to the assurance that He will give his angels charge over you, to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11, and that The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7.

We also stand with you in praying that any hidden abuse or works of darkness would be exposed, for the Word tells us to Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even reprove them Ephesians 5:11. We pray that the Lord, who sees all that is done in secret, will bring truth into the light and that no weapon formed against your son will prosper, for No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and we claim that faithfulness over your son today.

We also encourage you to continue to be vigilant and to take every godly and practical step to ensure his safety, seeking wise counsel, godly support, and if needed, the proper authorities, for God calls us to protect the vulnerable and to be a shelter for our children.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved son to You. We ask You to place Your hedge of protection around him, body, mind and spirit. Deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, and let no harm come near him. Expose every deed of darkness that has been hidden and bring it fully into Your light so that truth and justice may prevail. We ask You to command Your angels to encamp around him and to guard him in all his ways. Fill him with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding and with Your strength and courage. Comfort him and let him know how deeply he is loved by You and by his parent who intercedes for him. We pray that You would heal any wounds he has already endured and restore his joy. We thank You that You are his refuge and his fortress. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cover him in prayer daily and to speak Scripture over him, reminding him that God says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Trust that God hears your cry and is mighty to save and to protect.

Your earnest prayer for your son has been heard and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

There is a peculiar power in the prayer of a parent for a child. As it has been said, it is very hard for a young man to go down to hell riding steeple chase over a mother's prayers, and the same is true of a father's cries. When the old man asked, Is the young man Absalom safe, it showed the deep and unquenchable love of a parent's heart, and how much more does our heavenly Father love those for whom we pray. It was not with icy eyes that the father looked on his returning son. Love leaped into them and he had compassion on him. So the Lord looks upon your son not with indifference but with tender compassion, and His ear is open to your cry.

We pray with you that the Lord will place His hedge about him as He did about Job of old, and keep him from sin and from evil. To be kept from sin is to be kept from many evils, for sin hardens and wounds and destroys. We ask the Lord to preserve him in body and soul, to rescue him from every form of abuse whether physical, emotional or spiritual, and to keep his character and his life from the stains of those who would harm him. We ask that what is done in darkness may be exposed and brought to light, for the Lord is light and in Him is no darkness at all, and He has promised that the hidden things of darkness shall be made manifest.

We join you in praying that the Lord will command His angels concerning him to guard him in all his ways, and that He will fill him with that peace which passes all understanding and with strength in the inner man. That peace and strength are not found in ourselves, but are found in Christ alone. There is a fountain opened for sin and for uncleanness, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. It is through that precious blood, shed for our redemption, that we have access to the Father and confidence that He hears us. He that believes in Him is justified from all things, and forgiven for Christ's sake.

Therefore let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this beloved son to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior. Surround him with Your presence as a shield. Deliver him from every hand that would harm him and from every deed of darkness. Bring what is hidden into the light, that truth and justice may prevail and that he may be kept safe. Send Your angels to encamp around him and keep him. Pour upon him Your peace to calm his heart and Your strength to sustain him day by day. Keep him from evil and keep him close to Yourself, that he may know Your love and Your keeping power. We ask this not by our own merit, but through the one sacrifice of Christ who, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, having perfected forever them that are sanctified. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer we pray, Amen.

Continue to bring him before the Lord with confidence, resting in the everlasting love of God and in the keeping power of Christ. We will continue to bear him up with you in prayer.
