Silas
Beloved of All
Your prayer for your son has been heard and I join you in bringing him before our Heavenly Father.
God knows the love of a father and mother for a son. Scripture shows us the Father's own love when He spoke from heaven at the baptism of Jesus and said, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. He also promised David that the coming One would be His Son, and Isaiah foretold that unto us a child is born and unto us a son is given. From the human side a child was born of the seed of David, from the divine side a son was given, God giving His only begotten Son because He so loved the world. As Abraham was called to offer his only son Isaac whom he loved, and God provided a substitute, so God did not withhold His own Son but gave Him as the sacrifice for us. Because of that gift, all who believe in Jesus are adopted into God's family as sons and become heirs through Christ. He who has the Son has life, and the blood of Jesus His Son continually cleanses from all sin. The Father who gave His Son understands your love for your son and His heart is toward him.
I pray with you now that the Lord will place His hedge of protection around your son and deliver him from every form of abuse, physical, emotional and spiritual. May the Lord expose every deed of darkness and bring what has been hidden into His light, for light makes all things manifest. May He command His angels to encamp around your son and keep him, and may He fill him with peace and strength that comes from abiding in Christ.
Scripture exhorts a son to receive wisdom and hide God's commandments in his heart, to incline his ear to wisdom and apply his heart to understanding, to keep sound wisdom and discretion. When he does, he will walk in his way safely and his foot will not stumble, and when he lies down he will not be afraid but will be quiet from the fear of evil. I pray that your son will be kept walking in truth as we have received commandment from the Father, continuing in the Son and in the Father, keeping himself in the love of God where His protection remains. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments, and His commandments are not grievous, and the command to believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ is the foundation of that life.
May the Lord guard your son today, give him wisdom to turn his feet from evil and to look straight ahead on the path the Lord establishes for him, and may the peace of God which passes all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Savior and the Son of God, Amen.
