Son, protection

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, I pray Your hedge of protection around my son ###, deliver him from every form of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness and bring them to light. Surround him with Your angels and fill him with Your peace and strength, in Jesus name Amen

We lift up your precious son to the Lord with heavy hearts, interceding for his complete protection and deliverance. Father God, You are our refuge and fortress, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We stand in the gap for this young man, declaring that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we ask that You would indeed place a hedge of protection around him, spirit, soul, and body, shielding him from all forms of abuse, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual.

We rebuke every spirit of darkness that seeks to harm or oppress him. The Bible tells us that the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8), but we declare that Your angels encamp around those who fear You and deliver them (Psalm 34:7). We pray that You would dispatch Your heavenly host to guard him in all his ways, that no evil would befall him, nor any plague come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10-11). Expose every hidden deed of darkness, Lord, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known (Luke 8:17). Bring every scheme of the enemy into the light, that justice and truth may prevail.

Father, we ask that You fill with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) and strengthen him with Your might in his inner man (Ephesians 3:16). Let him know that he is never alone, for You are with him always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). Remind him of Your love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and let him find his identity and worth in You alone.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who are in authority over him, parents, teachers, mentors, and spiritual leaders. Grant them the insight to recognize any signs of trouble and the courage to act in accordance with Your will. May they be instruments of Your grace and protection in his life.

Lord, if there are any areas where or those around him have strayed from Your ways, we ask for conviction and repentance. Draw him closer to You, that he may walk in the light as You are in the light (1 John 1:7). Surround him with godly influences and friends who will encourage him in his faith and hold him accountable to live a life that honors You.

We declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed against him, for the Lord is his light and his salvation, whom shall he fear? The Lord is the strength of his life, of whom shall he be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). We trust in Your unfailing love, O God, and commit into Your hands, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20).

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We ache with you as you hold your son before the Father like this. The weight of wanting a child shielded from harm, body, heart, and spirit, is something we take seriously alongside you tonight.

We’re grateful you’re pressing into prayer; that persistent, quiet turning toward God can steady you when fear wants to take over. Keep telling the Lord every detail that worries you, as simply and honestly as you’ve done here. He doesn’t tire of hearing a mother’s cry for her child.

At the same time, if anything has come to light or even if something feels “off,” we’d gently encourage you to share your concerns with a wise pastor or a Christian counselor who understands abuse. Prayer is our first line of defense, but God often uses careful, practical steps, someone trained to help a family navigate safety, reporting, and healing, to bring the very protection you’re asking for. You don’t have to figure this out alone.

While you wait for every hidden thing to be brought into the light, remind yourself that your son is always seen by the One who made him. No darkness is deep enough to hide him from God’s sight, and no abuse escapes His notice. Hold onto that when the news feels slow in coming.

Father, we lift this son to You, cover him with Your strong, tender protection. Send Your angels to guard his body, his mind, and his soul from any who would harm him. Expose what needs to be brought into the open, and give this mom courage and wisdom for the days ahead. Let Your peace settle deep in her as she trusts You to fight for her boy, in Jesus’ name.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a blessed thing to entrust your son into the hands of the Most High, for He has promised to give His angels charge over those who walk in His ways. Pray on, but remember that the path of safety lies in close adherence to the footsteps of Christ, for if we wander into the byways of error, we cannot claim the protection of the covenant. That hedge of which you speak is woven of the will of God and the obedience of faith. When a child walks in the light as He is in the light, the darkness of abuse and the malice of the evil one shall not overwhelm him, for the Lord is his shield.

Deliverance from every form of abuse must begin with deliverance from the power of darkness itself, that darkness of sin and Satanic oppression which Christ has overcome. He has translated us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son. Therefore, plead the blood that whispers peace, and seek for your son an increased faith, for it is by faith that we quench the fiery darts of the wicked. The deeds of darkness shall be exposed; the Lord will bring them to light, for there is no concealment that shall not be revealed. Rest in that promise, and as you pray, be at peace, knowing that though the battle rages, victory is certain.

And as for the angels, they shall encompass him, a cordon invisible but real, as you have asked. But do not think that God’s deliverance comes without the exercise of our own spirit. Encourage your son to look alone to Christ, to draw from the wells of salvation, and to show himself a child of the light. If he is in Christ, the Father’s kisses of love are upon him, and none shall pluck him out of His hand. Therefore, sing songs of deliverance even now, for the Lord has heard your prayer and will perfect that which concerneth you.

You do well to pray thus, for the enemy prowls about in the darkness, seeking to devour, yet greater is He who is in your son than he who is in the world. The very thing you ask is the work Christ came to finish: He delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Not only did He rescue us from that grip, but He brought us into a kingdom, a kingdom no longer walled off from heaven. So take courage; your son is not left as an orphan. The same Lord who gave His life a ransom for many will not now abandon those He purchased at such a cost.

You pray for a hedge of protection. There is no fence mightier than the peace Christ bestows. When He sent His apostles, their first word into any house was “Peace be unto you.” This peace is not a mere greeting but the mother of all good things, the foundation of joy. Where the peace of God garrisons a soul, the dark powers find no entry. That peace is what the Son left as His own gift: “My peace I give unto you.” Hold fast to it, and let no war of fear unsettle it.

You ask that deeds of darkness be brought to light. This too pleases God, for when things are carried on in the dark they grow bold, but as soon as the light shines they scatter. The reproof of love, the speaking of truth, the very presence of Christ’s own light in the believer, these chase away deadness and put the mist to flight. Do not shrink from this; as many as walk in the light become themselves luminous, and by that radiance hidden things are exposed without a word.

You plead for angels round about him. Indeed they are near, for every one of the little ones who believe has an angel that ever beholds the Father’s face. These guardians do not slumber; they are ministering spirits sent to serve those who inherit salvation. Live soberly, then, as in the presence of tutors, and teach your son that he walks before a great cloud of witnesses both heavenly and visible. No abuse can touch him that is not first sifted through God’s fingers, and even then it becomes not a wound unto death but a path to greater glory, as we share the sufferings of Christ.

And what is the source of true strength? It is the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry “Abba, Father.” When Christ emptied Himself and was born of a woman, He did this that you and your son might cease to be children of a woman only, and be born after the Spirit as sons of God. You have put on Christ in baptism; He is not ashamed to call you brethren. Let your son know whose he is, and he will stand. For the Son of God came not to be served but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many, and if for many, then surely for him. Let him rest in that boundless love, and no fear of man or devil will shake him. Peace be to you.

You have brought your son before the throne in the one name that carries all authority, the name of Jesus. That is no small thing. Scripture declares that God has given Him a name above every name, and at His name every knee will bow. When a mother or father cries out in that name, heaven listens. You are not simply sending words into an empty void; you are appealing to the living God who gave His only Son for us. If He did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all we need? His heart toward your child is not stingy or distant. It is a Father’s heart, the same heart that loves the Son with an everlasting love.

The hedge of protection you asked for is not a figure of speech. Think of Job. Satan himself complained, “Have you not put a hedge around him?” The enemy saw a barrier he could not cross without permission. For those who are hidden in Christ, that hedge is far more than a poetic idea, it is the shelter of His blood, the mark of His ownership. I believe that hedge stands around your son even now because you have placed him under that covering in prayer. Trust that the power of Jesus’s sacrifice sets a limit on what darkness can do. It may not always feel like it, but the reality of the spirit realm is more solid than our emotions.

You have also asked for angels to surround him. That aligns exactly with what God has promised. The writer of Hebrews tells us that angels are ministering spirits sent out to serve those who will inherit salvation. They are not vague forces; they are real beings who serve at God’s command. Psalm 91 says He will give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. This is the heritage of every child of God. So do not picture your son as alone, vulnerable, and unseen. Whether he is aware of it or not, the Lord has resources stationed around him. The same kind of angelic presence that strengthened our Lord in Gethsemane is sent to minister to the heirs of salvation.

And you have asked for the deeds of darkness to be exposed. God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. When light shines, hidden things leap into the open. Every abusive act, every covert cruelty, every lie whispered in secret, none of it escapes His notice. He sees it all, and He will bring it to the light in His time. That exposure is part of His deliverance. Pray with confidence that He will not only protect but also vindicate. He is a God who rescues the oppressed and lifts up those who are crushed.

Finally, the peace and strength you prayed for flow from a specific source. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.” And the strength is not manufactured grit; it is the indwelling presence of the Son, who is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact imprint of His nature. As you continue to entrust your son to the only One who has conquered every foe, sin, death, and the powers of darkness, rest in this: your son is seen. He is loved. And the same God who calls Jesus His only begotten Son, because that relationship is unique and supreme, now welcomes you and your son into that family through faith. You are not crying out to a stranger. You are speaking to the Father of the Son, and He bends low to hear.

Keep your eyes fixed there. The enemy may rage, but he is already a defeated foe. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Your son will know that peace and strength as the Lord surrounds him with songs of deliverance.
