We lift up this precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with this earnest plea for his protection. Heavenly Father, we stand in agreement with this prayer, asking that You indeed place a hedge of protection around him—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Your Word declares in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* We claim this promise over him, Lord, and ask that Your angels encamp around him, shielding him from every form of harm or abuse.
Father, we also pray that You would expose every hidden work of darkness that seeks to harm him. Ephesians 5:11-13 reminds us, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but rather even expose them. For the things which are done by them in secret, it is a shame even to speak of. But all things, when they are exposed, are revealed by the light."* We ask that You bring every deceitful scheme, every malicious intent, and every spirit of abuse into the light. Let no evil go unnoticed or unjudged, and let Your justice prevail in every situation.
We pray for Your peace to fill his heart, a peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, so that he may stand firm against the schemes of the enemy. Remind him daily of Your love, Your presence, and Your faithfulness, for You have promised in Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."*
Father, if there are areas in his life where he may be vulnerable—whether through choices, associations, or environments—we ask that You would guide him into Your perfect will. Protect him from influences that do not honor You, and draw him closer to those who will encourage his faith and walk with You. Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and leaders who will speak truth and life into him.
We also rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, or oppression that may be trying to take root in his heart. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control."* Let this truth be his reality, Lord. Fill him with courage, resilience, and a deep trust in You.
Lastly, we pray for his spiritual growth. May he come to know You more intimately each day, growing in wisdom, discernment, and faith. If he has not yet surrendered his life to You, we ask that You would draw him with Your lovingkindness and reveal Your Son, Jesus Christ, to him as his Savior and Lord. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that he would come to experience the fullness of life that only comes through a relationship with You.
We commit this son into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). May he walk in the victory and freedom that is found in Christ, and may his life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
