We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt cry for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a mighty fortress, a shield for those who take refuge in Him. Psalm 91:11-12 declares, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a powerful assurance that the Lord watches over our children, dispatching His heavenly hosts to guard and keep them from harm.
We also take hold of your prayer for deliverance from abuse—whether physical, emotional, or spiritual—and we declare the truth of Isaiah 54:17 over your son: *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me," says Yahweh.* The enemy seeks to bring destruction, but the Lord exposes the deeds of darkness and brings them into the light (Ephesians 5:11). We pray that any hidden schemes or influences seeking to harm your son would be uncovered and rendered powerless by the blood of Jesus.
Yet, as we pray, we must also remember that our ultimate trust is not in angels or hedges of protection, but in the sovereign will of our Heavenly Father. His ways are higher than ours, and even in trials, He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to pray fervently for his salvation, for there is no greater protection than being hidden in Christ. As it is written in Proverbs 18:10, *"Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for hearing the cries of this parent on behalf of their son. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your divine protection—a hedge so strong that no weapon of the enemy can penetrate it. Deliver him from every form of abuse, whether seen or unseen, and expose the works of darkness that seek to harm him. Dispatch Your angels, Lord, to guard him in all his ways, to guide his steps, and to keep him from stumbling.
Father, if there are areas in his life where he has strayed from Your truth or opened doors to the enemy, we pray for conviction and repentance. Draw him close to You, Lord, and let him find his refuge in Jesus Christ alone. If he does not yet know You, soften his heart to receive Your love and salvation. May he walk in the light of Your Word, clothed in the armor of God, standing firm against every scheme of the devil.
We declare Your promises over him—that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be condemned. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen this parent, Lord, with faith and perseverance, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in their son (Philippians 1:6).
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, to whom belongs all glory, honor, and power forever. Amen.
