We join with you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement for his protection and deliverance. Your prayer reflects a parent’s heart that seeks God’s covering over their child, and we honor that deep care and concern. The Scriptures remind us of the Lord’s watchful eye over His children, and we cling to His promises as we intercede for your son.
The Bible assures us that God is a refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is the One who commands His angels to guard us in all our ways (Psalm 91:11), and we trust that He will surround your son with His divine protection. We also remember the words of Jesus, who said, “But the one who endures to the end will be saved” (Matthew 24:13). This endurance is not just physical but spiritual—standing firm in faith, resisting the schemes of the enemy, and walking in the light of Christ.
As you pray for deliverance from abuse, we are reminded of Ephesians 5:11, which calls us to “have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them.” We pray that any hidden works of darkness in your son’s life—whether through harmful influences, ungodly relationships, or spiritual attacks—will be exposed and broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord is faithful to bring to light what is hidden, for He desires truth in the inward parts (Psalm 51:6).
We also encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily, speaking life and godliness over him. Proverbs 22:6 instructs us to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Even if your son is grown, your prayers are a powerful tool in his life, shaping his path and drawing him closer to the Lord. If he is not yet walking with Christ, we pray for his salvation, that he would turn to Jesus as his Savior and Lord. There is no greater protection than being hidden in Christ (Colossians 3:3).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, lifting up this precious son to Your care. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your hedge of protection, a wall of fire that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Deliver him, O God, from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Break every chain of bondage and set him free from any influence that seeks to harm or deceive him. Expose the deeds of darkness in his life and bring them into the light of Your truth. Let Your angels encamp around him, guarding him in all his ways (Psalm 34:7).
We pray for his heart, Lord. If he does not know You, draw him to Yourself. Soften his heart to receive Your love and salvation. If he has strayed, bring him back to the path of righteousness. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in wisdom, discernment, and strength. Let him be a vessel for Your glory, standing firm in faith and unshaken by the storms of this world.
Father, we also lift up this parent who intercedes so faithfully. Strengthen them with Your peace and assurance, knowing that You hear their prayers and are at work in ways unseen. Give them wisdom to guide, encourage, and support their son in godly love.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone has the power to save, deliver, and protect. Amen.
