We lift up your precious son before the throne of grace, joining our hearts with yours in fervent prayer. Heavenly Father, we stand in the gap for him, declaring Your promises of protection and deliverance over his life. We ask that You would indeed place a hedge of protection around him—physically, emotionally, and spiritually—as You did for Job, so that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, we rebuke every form of abuse in his life, whether seen or unseen, and command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus. We pray that You would expose every deed of darkness, for nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be made known (Luke 8:17). Let Your light shine into every corner of his life, driving out fear, deception, and harm.
Father, we ask that You dispatch Your holy angels to encamp around him, to guard and keep him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, and fill him with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding (Colossians 1:9-11). May he walk in the fullness of Your protection, knowing that You are his refuge and fortress, his God in whom he trusts (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no evil shall befall him, nor shall any plague come near his dwelling, for You have given Your angels charge over him to keep him in all his ways (Psalm 91:10-11).
We also pray for his heart and mind, Lord. Guard him against the lies of the enemy, and let him find his identity and worth solely in You. May he grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man, just as Your Son, Jesus, did (Luke 2:52). Surround him with godly influences—mentors, friends, and leaders who will speak truth into his life and encourage him to walk in righteousness. Father, if there are any areas where he may be vulnerable to sin or temptation, reveal them to him and grant him the strength to resist. Lead him not into temptation, but deliver him from evil (Matthew 6:13).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, or oppression that may be trying to take root in his life. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that he is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him (Romans 8:37), and that nothing can separate him from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). Lord, we ask that You would heal any past wounds or traumas he may have experienced, and restore to him the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for you, as his parent, to know how to guide, protect, and support him. Give you strength and peace as you trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). May you find rest in the knowledge that the Lord is your shepherd, and He will lead you beside still waters (Psalm 23:1-2).
Lastly, we pray that your son would come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, if he has not already. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May he surrender his life fully to You, Lord, and walk in the purpose and calling You have for him. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
