We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us of God’s unwavering care for His children, especially the vulnerable and young. In Psalm 91:11-12, we read, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a mighty promise that our Heavenly Father watches over those we love with a love far greater than our own.
We also take comfort in the truth of 2 Thessalonians 3:3, which declares, *"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."* Your son is not beyond the reach of God’s power, and we trust that the Lord will expose every hidden work of darkness, just as Ephesians 5:11 commands us to *"have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* If there are those who seek to harm him—whether through abuse, manipulation, or spiritual attack—we pray that God would bring their deeds to light, dismantle their schemes, and render their efforts powerless.
At the same time, we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily, for the battle we face is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). Teach him, if he is old enough, to put on the full armor of God—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that he may stand firm in every trial. If he does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the Gospel with him, for there is no greater protection than being hidden in Christ. As John 10:28-29 assures us, *"I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father’s hand."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the precious life of this son. Lord, we ask that You surround him with Your hedge of protection, a wall of fire that no weapon formed against him can penetrate. Deliver him, O God, from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, and spiritual. Expose the deeds of darkness in his life and bring them into the light of Your truth. Dispatch Your mighty angels to guard him day and night, to keep him from harm, and to guide his steps in righteousness.
If there are those who seek to harm him, Lord, we pray that You would confuse their plans, turn their hearts away from evil, and bring conviction upon them. Let no weapon prosper against him, and let every tongue that rises against him in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, and let him know that he is deeply loved by You.
We also pray for his spiritual well-being, Father. If he does not yet know You, draw him to Yourself. Open his heart to receive Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, that he may walk in the fullness of Your protection and purpose. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him grow in wisdom and stature, favored by God and man.
For the parent praying, we ask that You grant them wisdom, discernment, and perseverance in prayer. Comfort their heart, Lord, and remind them that You are a God who hears and answers. Let them rest in the assurance that You are working all things together for good, even in the unseen places.
We declare these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has all authority in heaven and on earth. To Him be all glory, honor, and power, forever and ever. Amen.
