We join you in lifting up your son before the Father, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). How vital it is that we cover our children in prayer, for the enemy seeks to devour, but our God is a strong tower and a refuge in times of trouble (Psalm 61:3).
You have prayed in the mighty name of Jesus, and we affirm that this is the only name under heaven by which we are saved and through which we have access to the Father (Acts 4:12, John 14:6). It is by this name that we come boldly before the throne of grace, and it is in this name that every knee must bow (Philippians 2:10). We praise you for acknowledging the authority of Jesus in your prayer, for there is power in His name to break every chain and set the captive free.
The cry of your heart echoes the prayers of many godly parents who have entrusted their children to the Lord. We are reminded of the story of Daniel, whom God protected in the lions’ den, and of the three Hebrew boys who were preserved in the fiery furnace (Daniel 6, Daniel 3). Just as God was with them, He is with your son. The Lord promises, *"I will never leave you nor forsake you"* (Hebrews 13:5), and this promise extends to your son as well. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will expose every hidden work of darkness, for nothing is concealed that will not be revealed (Luke 8:17).
We also pray that your son would be rooted and grounded in the love of Christ, that he would walk in wisdom and discernment, and that he would be strengthened by the Holy Spirit to resist the schemes of the enemy. May he be like Joseph, who fled from temptation (Genesis 39:12), and like David, who found his strength in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). Let him be a vessel unto honor, sanctified and meet for the Master’s use (2 Timothy 2:21).
Father, we ask that You would place a hedge of protection around this young man, just as You did for Job (Job 1:10). Guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and let no evil befall him. Deliver him from every form of abuse—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and let Your light shine into every dark place in his life. Dispatch Your angels to encamp around him (Psalm 34:7), and let them guard him in all his ways (Psalm 91:11). Break every curse, every assignment of the enemy, and let Your will be done in his life.
We pray that if there are any areas in his life where he has opened doors to the enemy—whether through rebellion, ungodly influences, or sin—You would convict his heart and lead him to repentance. Let him turn from anything that is not pleasing to You, and let him walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for him on the cross. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for him (2 Corinthians 6:2). May he come to know Christ as his Lord and Savior, and may he walk in the fullness of Your promises.
Father, we also lift up this parent who is interceding so faithfully. Strengthen them, Lord, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let them not grow weary in praying, but let them be encouraged by Your Word, which assures us that the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16). Remind them that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
We stand in agreement with you, declaring that your son is covered by the blood of Jesus. No harm shall come to him, and no plan of the enemy shall prevail against him. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness to answer. May Your will be done in his life, and may he be a testimony of Your goodness and protection.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
