We join you in lifting up your son before the Lord, standing in agreement with your heartfelt plea for his protection and deliverance. The Scriptures remind us that our God is a mighty fortress, a shield for those who take refuge in Him. Psalm 91:11-12 declares, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a powerful assurance that the Lord is actively watching over your son, dispatching His heavenly hosts to guard him from every form of harm.
We also stand on the promise of 2 Thessalonians 3:3, which says, *"But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one."* Your son is not left defenseless, for the Lord is faithful to protect him from the schemes of the enemy—whether they manifest as physical, emotional, or spiritual abuse. We pray that every hidden work of darkness surrounding him would be exposed by the light of Christ, as Ephesians 5:11 commands, *"Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them."* May the Lord bring to light anything that has been concealed, breaking the power of secrecy and shame that so often accompanies abuse.
At the same time, we encourage you to continue covering your son in prayer daily, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:4). Claim the blood of Jesus over his life, speaking life, peace, and divine protection over him. If your son is not yet walking closely with the Lord, we pray that this season would draw him into a deeper relationship with Christ, where he finds his ultimate safety and identity in Him. Proverbs 18:10 reminds us, *"The name of Yahweh is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for Your promise to be a refuge and strength for Your children. Lord, we lift up this precious son to You, asking that You surround him with Your hedge of protection—a hedge so impenetrable that no weapon formed against him shall prosper. Dispatch Your warrior angels to encamp around him, guarding his coming and going, his thoughts and emotions, and his spirit from every attack of the enemy.
Expose every hidden work of darkness in his life, Lord. Bring to light anything that has been done in secret, and let Your truth and justice prevail. Break the chains of fear, confusion, or trauma that may have taken root in his heart, and replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. If there are those who seek to harm him—whether physically, emotionally, or spiritually—confuse their plans, Lord, and turn their evil intentions back upon themselves. Let them be caught in their own snares, while Your child walks free in the victory of Christ.
Father, we also pray that You would draw this young man closer to Yourself. If he does not yet know You as his Savior, soften his heart to receive Your love and truth. Let him find his security not in the fleeting protections of this world but in the unshakable stronghold of Your presence. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guiding his steps and shielding him from the snares of the enemy.
We declare that no harm will overtake him, no disaster will come near his dwelling (Psalm 91:10). You, Lord, are his keeper, his shade at his right hand (Psalm 121:5). We trust You to watch over him day and night, to go before him and make his paths straight.
We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who has conquered sin, death, and the grave. To Him be all glory, honor, and power, forever and ever. Amen.
