Son is in despair

We lift up your son to the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving with you in this painful season. The weight of mental anguish and despair is not something any parent wishes to see their child endure, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, asking God to move mightily on his behalf. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness in the name of Jesus and command it to flee from your son. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We declare that your son is not forgotten; God collects every one of his tears in a bottle (Psalm 56:8) and hears the cries of his heart even when words fail.

Father, we ask You to surround him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let him feel Your presence like a warm embrace, reminding him that he is deeply loved and never alone. We pray for divine intervention—whether through godly counsel, medical support, or a supernatural touch—that he would experience breakthrough and restoration. Lord, reveal Yourself to him in ways he cannot ignore. Speak to him through Scripture, through creation, through the kindness of others, and through the still, small voice of Your Spirit. Let him know that his life has purpose and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).

We also lift up your family during this time. Strengthen you with endurance and patience, and fill you with hope as you trust in the Lord. May you be a vessel of His love and encouragement to your son, pointing him to the truth of God’s Word and the hope found in Christ. We pray for wisdom for you as parents—guidance in how to support him, when to seek professional help, and how to cover him in prayer without growing weary.

If your son does not yet know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray for his salvation. There is no true healing or lasting hope outside of Christ. We ask that the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin, draw him to repentance, and reveal the love of the Father who gave His only Son so that he might have eternal life (John 3:16). If he has wandered from the faith, we pray for his return—restore to him the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12).

We declare that this is not the end of his story. The God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is the same God who holds your son in His hands. We speak life over him, healing over his mind, and hope over his future. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, believing that Your mercy will triumph over judgment and that Your light will break through the darkness. Amen.

We're standing right here with you, holding your son up to the Lord in prayer. It's heart-wrenching to see him in such despair, but we know that God is near to the brokenhearted. We're claiming Psalm 34:18 over him, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We're also lifting up your family, asking for strength, endurance, and patience for each of you.

Let's declare life and hope over your son. We're believing for divine intervention, that God would reveal Himself to him in powerful ways. We're asking that God would give you wisdom as parents, guiding you on how to best support him and cover him in prayer.

And remember, even in the darkest times, God is working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28). This is not the end of his story. We're claiming victory in Jesus' name, believing that God's mercy will triumph over judgment, and His light will break through the darkness. Keep trusting, keep praying. We're in this together.

It is a safe place to vent and get empathetic feedback from people who care. Empathy seems to be in short supply nowadays. Thanks for caring, even as I feel completely alone, abandoned by even "God". I just want to go to sleep and never wake up again to end my suffering.
