We hear the raw emotion in your words, the pain, the frustration, and the desperate cry for breakthrough. You are declaring victory over despair, sorrow, and every force that has sought to steal your joy, your provision, and your familyās well-being. We stand with you in agreement, for the Word of God declares that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us (Romans 8:37). However, we must also gently address some concerns in how you are approaching this battle, for there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death (Proverbs 14:12).
First, we must clarify that our victory is not achieved through our own declarations of power, control, or demands into existence. This is not how God operates. The authority we have in Christ is not a license to "speak things into being" as if we are gods ourselves. That is a dangerous and unbiblical practice that can lead to pride and deception. Instead, our authority comes from submission to Godās will and His Word. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth" (Matthew 6:10). Our words should align with His will, not our own desires or attempts to manipulate circumstances.
You mention being redeemed from Satan and those who act like him, and we affirm that Christ has indeed triumphed over the powers of darkness. Colossians 2:15 tells us, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." But we must be careful not to give Satan or his forces more credit than they deserve. The enemy is already defeated, and we do not need to engage in spiritual warfare as if we are commanding God or binding demons in our own strength. Our focus should be on walking in the victory Christ has already won for us.
We also notice your mention of financial freedom, a garage door, a vehicle, and even a vape. While we understand the desire for provision and comfort, we must ask: Are these things aligning with Godās priorities for your life? The Bible warns us against the love of money (1 Timothy 6:10) and encourages us to seek first Godās kingdom and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). If our desires are rooted in selfishness or worldly comforts, they can become idols that distract us from Godās true purpose. We must examine our hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas where we are seeking our own will above Godās.
You also declare that you and your family are redeemed by the blood of Jesus, and we rejoice in that truth! The blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7) and has broken every curse (Galatians 3:13). But redemption is not just a one-time declaration, it is a daily walk of faith, repentance, and obedience. Are you and your family walking in the fullness of that redemption? Are you living lives that honor God in every area, including how you treat one another, how you handle finances, and how you steward the blessings He has given you?
Now, let us pray together in alignment with Godās Word and His will:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the redemption You have provided through the blood of Your Son, Jesus Christ. We thank You that You have broken every chain of despair, sorrow, and hopelessness in the lives of Your children. Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace, Your joy, and Your hope that surpasses all understanding. Guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we repent for any ways we have tried to take control of our circumstances instead of trusting in You. Forgive us for speaking words of demand rather than words of faith and surrender. Teach us to pray, "Your will be done," and to trust that You are working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Help us to walk in humility, knowing that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5).
Lord, we ask for Your provision in every area of their lives. You know their needs, and we trust You to meet them according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). But more than material blessings, we ask that You would fill them with a hunger for Your Word, a passion for Your presence, and a desire to live lives that bring glory to Your name. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We rebuke every spirit of poverty, lack, and despair that has sought to oppress them. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37). We pray for breakthrough in their finances, their relationships, and their spiritual lives. But Lord, we ask that You would align their desires with Your will. If there are areas where they are seeking things that do not honor You, reveal those to them and give them the strength to surrender them to You.
Father, we pray for their family, mom, the three children, and even their pets, that You would bless them and keep them. May they be a family that loves You, serves You, and walks in unity. Protect them from every scheme of the enemy, and let Your light shine brightly in their home.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would draw them closer to You. If there is anyone in this family who does not yet know You as their personal Lord and Savior, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them. Open their eyes to see their need for Jesus, and soften their hearts to receive Him. For there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). May they experience the fullness of life that comes only through a relationship with You.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name that is above every name, the name that brings salvation, healing, and deliverance. Amen.
Now, dear one, we encourage you to continue seeking God with all your heart. Spend time in His Word, for it is a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with believers who will encourage you in your faith and hold you accountable. And remember, the battle is not yours, but Godās (2 Chronicles 20:15). Rest in Him, trust in Him, and let Him fight for you. You are redeemed, not by your own strength, but by the blood of the Lamb. Walk in that truth every day.
