Son/husband/health/application approval

Beloved of All
Jesus please let my son stop staying up so late. Please let my husband pay me the money he owes me for the bills. Please let my health improve. Please let my application get approved, or me at least hear something about it very soon. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We lift these burdens to the Lord with heavy hearts, seeking His mercy and grace in each of these areas. Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We acknowledge that apart from Christ, we can do nothing (John 15:5), and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved and can bring our petitions before You.

First, we pray for this mother’s son, that You would grant him wisdom and self-discipline in his daily habits. Lord, Your Word tells us that wisdom is more precious than rubies, and nothing we desire can compare with her (Proverbs 3:15). We ask that You convict his heart to honor his body as Your temple (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) and to seek rest in a way that glorifies You. Help him to understand that laziness and disorder in our habits can lead to poverty and lack (Proverbs 19:15), but diligence brings blessing. Father, we rebuke any spirit of rebellion or worldly influence that may be keeping him from a disciplined life, and we pray that he would surrender his schedule to You.

For this wife and her husband, we ask for Your divine intervention in their finances and marriage. Lord, Your Word commands husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25) and for wives to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:33). We pray that this husband would fulfill his God-given role as the provider and protector of his family, not just in word but in deed (1 Timothy 5:8). Father, we rebuke any selfishness, pride, or financial irresponsibility that may be hindering him from honoring his commitments. We ask that You soften his heart to repentance and restore trust and unity in this marriage. For this wife, we pray for patience, grace, and wisdom as she navigates this trial, trusting that You are her ultimate Provider (Philippians 4:19).

Regarding her health, we cry out for Your healing touch, Lord. You are the Great Physician, and by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We declare that her body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have plans for her welfare, not for evil, to give her a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Strengthen her faith to believe in Your promises, even when circumstances seem bleak. We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or discouragement and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7) as she waits on You for restoration.

Finally, for the application she has submitted, we ask for Your favor and timing. Lord, You know the plans You have for her, and we trust that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). We pray that if this opportunity is Your will, You would open the door no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). If it is not, we ask that You close the door and redirect her steps to where You would have her go. Give her patience and trust in Your perfect timing, knowing that those who wait on You will not be put to shame (Isaiah 49:23).

Heavenly Father, we also take a moment to address the spiritual foundation of this prayer. While we are grateful that this request was made in Jesus’ name, we encourage this dear sister to deepen her relationship with Christ, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that she would grow in her faith, studying Your Word daily, and surrendering every area of her life to You. May she find her strength and hope in Christ alone, for He is our refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2).

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, believing that You hear us and will answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.

We’re holding these concerns with you before the Lord right now. When so many pieces of life feel up in the air, your son’s habits, the strain around household finances, your own health, and the waiting on that application, it’s easy to carry a quiet heaviness even while you keep going. Thank you for simply laying it all out. Jesus welcomes the real stuff.

It strikes us that you haven’t asked for dramatic miracles, just for things to shift in ordinary, human ways: a son who gets more rest, a husband who follows through, your body feeling better, and a door to open or at least some word back. Those aren’t small things; they touch the everyday fabric of your life. So we ask God to meet you right there, in the daily details, with his steady kindness.

While we pray for your health to improve, we also want to encourage you to let a doctor take a look if something persistent has you concerned. Good medical care isn’t a lack of faith; it’s part of how God often restores us. And with the finances, when the moment feels right, a calm conversation with your husband about what you’re carrying might relieve some of that weight, even if the money doesn’t resolve all at once.

Father, you see this sister’s full plate. We ask you to give her son wisdom and self-discipline in how he uses his nights, and to bring peace into their home around that. Provide what’s needed financially, and soften her husband’s heart so that responsibility is shared well. Touch her body with healing and her mind with rest from worry. And in the waiting, grant her clear news and a sense that you have not forgotten her. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Trust your merciful God to help you. What are the trials you are expecting? Rely upon your merciful God to bear you through. Make God thine only dependence, and never trust in anything else. But is your anxiety about your character? Has some one been slandering you? And are you troubled and grieved, lest you should lose your good name? “Wait only upon God.” Go to thy chamber; tell the Lord thy dear one is ill; pour out thy heart before him, and say to him, “My Lord, spare me this trouble, if it be thy will; but this know, O God, though thou slay me yet will I trust in thee.” He will supply thy needs out of the riches of his fullness.

They are not waiting in despair, nor even in hesita-tion, they are waiting in hope, a joyous and assured hope of blessedness in reserve. Waiting upon God is the way to renew our strength until we mount up with eagle's wings and leave the world below. Waiting upon the Lord breeds peace within the soul and when a man is perfectly at rest within, he cares little for trials or foes. But our God, in whom we trust, is a God with a great, warm, loving heart! He is a thinking God, an active God, a working, personal God who comes into the midst of this world and does not leave it to go on by itself. This truth ought also to keep us from grieving too much over our losses and crosses in business.

We are not to be idle. That would show we did not trust in God, who works up to now, but in the devil, who is the father of idleness! We are to trust God, acting in all prudence, and in all uprightness, we are to rely simply and entirely upon Him. Trusting in God, you will not have to mourn because you have used sinful means to grow rich. And when His testimony is that He is a God ready to pardon the guilty, waiting to forgive all those that trust His Son, why should we doubt such a gracious declaration?

Before long, if you trust Jesus, you shall know His love. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. Trust Him as you feel yourself dying and you shall live. "Trust Him with one soul? That is nothing! I could trust Him with a million souls if I had them! I know that He is able to save all who trust Him." Only trust Him, only trust Him, Only trust Him now!

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You bring before God a list of outward cares: your son’s late hours, the money your husband owes, your failing health, and a pending application. But have you considered that the greater malady may be within your own soul, and that of your household? For you are more anxious for a quiet night for your son than for his soul to be roused from the deep sleep of sin. Do you not know that the one who stays up late without purpose is already slumbering toward destruction? For as it is written, “They that sleep sleep in the night, and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.” Yet the true sleep and drunkenness are not of the body alone but of the soul: the stupor of vain amusements, the intoxication of worldly desires. Train your son not merely to keep early hours, but to watch and be sober unto prayer, lest his waking be no better than dreaming.

And why do you fret over the money your husband owes? Is it not written, “Thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee”? This does not excuse his failure, for the husband who does not provide for his own house has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. Yet I say to you: let your gentle and quiet spirit be of great price before God, and do not let a debt of silver become a debt of bitterness in your heart. Entrust the matter to the Judge of the widow and the Father of the fatherless, who sees every injustice. If you must speak, do so with the reverence of a wife who submits as to the Lord, not with the clamor of a creditor. And examine yourself: have you given him any cause to withhold what is due? For often our own sins block the answer to our prayers.

As for your health, it is right to ask for relief, for even the Apostle allowed Timothy a little wine for his stomach’s sake. Yet make not provision for the flesh to fulfil its lusts. Do you seek health to serve God with greater zeal, or only to escape discomfort and enjoy ease? Let this trial teach you that our outward man perishes, but the inward man is renewed day by day. And if the application weighs on you, recall the Canaanite woman who cried after the Lord and was denied again and again, yet persisted in humility and was at last granted her request. But she first accepted to be called a dog, and only then received the children’s bread. Are you willing to wait on God’s time, and to hear perhaps a silence that tests your faith more than any approval? The present life is but a dream: riches, letters, documents, all vanish like smoke. Seek first the kingdom of God, and these things shall be added, or else you will find you have gained the whole world and lost your soul.

Therefore cease merely asking for the removal of these thorns, and pray rather that you may bear good fruit through them. Let your son learn discipline, your husband fulfill his duty, your body be a temple, and your mind rest in God’s providence. Do not come to the spiritual fountain carelessly, as one of the sickly sheep, but as one who desires to be among the holy, having first put away every stain. For the Deacon cries, “Holy things for the holy,” not for those who cling to earth. Watch, then, and be sober, and in due season the Lord will answer.
