Father God, I come before You in the name of Jesus to ask for Your healing touch upon my son. Lord, his esophagus is eroded and damaged and ask that You soothe the inflammation, heal the lining, and regulate acid in his stomach. I also pray for his lungs and respiratory system. I ask that You remove all blockage, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely so he can breathe deeply and without pain. Lord, I ask that You guide his doctors and bless his treatment. I trust in Your power to mend what is broken and restore him to full health, in Jesus name Amen

We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, where our Great Physician hears the cries of His children. Your prayer is a powerful declaration of faith, and we stand with you in agreement, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). The healing touch of Jesus is just as real today as it was when He walked the earth, healing the sick, restoring the broken, and raising the dead. We remember His words in Matthew 8:17, "This was to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet: 'He took our infirmities, and bore our diseases.'"

Father, we come before You with hearts full of compassion and faith, asking for Your divine intervention in the life of this young man. Lord, You see the erosion in his esophagus and the damage that has been done. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand and soothe the inflammation, knit together the damaged tissues, and restore the lining to full health. Your Word declares in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over his life, believing that You are the God who heals.

We also lift up his lungs and respiratory system to You, Lord. You formed his inward parts and knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). You know every cell, every tissue, every breath he takes. We ask that You would remove all blockages, heal any damage from infection, and open his airways completely. Breathe Your life-giving Spirit into him, Lord, that he may breathe deeply and without pain. We declare that by Your stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on this truth with unwavering faith.

Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for his doctors. Guide their hands, direct their decisions, and bless the treatments they prescribe. May they be instruments of Your healing power, working in harmony with Your divine plan. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us to "trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." We trust that You are leading every step of his medical care.

We also want to encourage you, dear parent, to hold fast to your faith, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Hebrews 11:1 tells us, "Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen." Your faith is not in vain, and God sees your tears, hears your prayers, and is moved by your love for your son. Continue to speak life over him, declaring God’s promises even when the situation looks bleak. Remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5:25-34. She pressed through the crowd, believing that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she would be made whole. And she was. Jesus told her, "Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be cured of your disease." Let this be an encouragement to you, your faith is powerful, and God honors it.

Lord, we also ask that You would strengthen this young man spiritually and emotionally. Healing is not just physical; it is holistic. We pray that You would comfort him, give him peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7), and fill him with hope for the future. Remind him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that You have a purpose and a plan for his life (Jeremiah 29:11).

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or despair that may be trying to take root in this situation. We command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that this young man is surrounded by God’s love, covered by the blood of Jesus, and protected by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the privilege of coming before You on behalf of this precious life. We believe that You are working even now, bringing healing, restoration, and wholeness. We trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are good and that Your mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:1). We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We can feel the heaviness in your words, a mother’s love carrying her son’s daily pain. When breathing itself becomes a struggle and eating hurts, the wait for relief can feel long and lonely. We are with you in this, joining you as you bring all of it before the Lord who formed your son’s body and knows every cell that hurts.

You have already done the most powerful thing: you’ve placed him in God’s hands. In our prayers, we don’t rely on how perfectly we phrase the request or on the strength of our own faith, healing power belongs to God. Sometimes we see dramatic answers quickly; other times we learn to press into God’s presence while the healing unfolds. Both are real faith. It’s okay to set aside any pressure to get this “right” and simply rest in the One who is at work even when we can’t see it yet.

A practical step that often strengthens families in long illnesses: let a few trusted friends from your church or small group know specifically how they can pray and maybe even bring a meal or sit with your son when you need a breath. You don’t have to carry the weight alone; that’s why God gave us each other. Keep speaking words of hope and life over your son, and keep being his advocate with doctors, as you already are.

Father, we ask with this mother for your healing touch. In Jesus’ name, soothe the eroded tissue in his esophagus, calm the excess acid, and renew his stomach. Clear every blockage from his lungs, open his airways fully, and let him breathe deeply and without pain. Guide his doctors with wisdom and steady hands. Hold this family close in your peace, and strengthen their hearts while they wait, trusting that you are good and that you never leave them. Amen.

The prayer that goes up for a sick child enters into the very heart of the Son of God, who Himself bore our sicknesses and carried our pains. That cry that rises in the name of Jesus reaches a throne of grace, where the great Physician sits in glory, able to heal all manner of affliction. The present erosion and burning is not beyond His careful reach. He who formed that esophagus, that delicate lining, those intricate tissues, can speak and restore them. Remember, the least thing about Christ is healing, even the hem of His garment or a leaf from the tree of life. So touch Him now with the hand of faith.

Have you considered the sweet union between pardon and healing? When the Lord Jesus dwells with His people, He does not bring one blessing alone. Often the first word to the paralyzed soul, and so to the suffering body, is the word of forgiveness. "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." The removal of the root disease of guilt often opens the way for the healing of the frame. The atoning sacrifice by which He put away sin has in it the power to remove the painful consequence of sin. Therefore, let your faith lay hold of the blood of sprinkling, and see in that precious scarlet the promise that the body also shall be raised and restored. He took the sicknesses and bore the infirmities; the bitter medicine was all drained by Himself. What is left for your son is the outflow of healing virtue.

Do not fix your hope upon physicians and their remedies, though you are right to pray for their guidance. The power is conspicuously present in Christ Himself. That same hand that touched Peter's wife's mother and lifted her up from the fever can cool the burning inflammation and bid the lungs receive the sweet, free air. You see, she was prostrated by the malady, lying helpless, until He touched her. Healing must come before any service or any strength of our own can spring forth. In the same way, do not let your heart be prostrated with fear or unbelief, looking only at the damage and the difficulty. Let the request be bathed in a quiet confidence that He who hears the prayer has already begun His restorative work. The very desire to cry to Him is a leaf from the tree, a token that the Sun of Righteousness is rising with healing in His wings.

There is a truth deeper still. The Lord our God, when He looks upon the suffering of His chosen, does not only see the temporal affliction; He sees the ransom price. In His dear Son, He sees such a full and perfect satisfaction for all woe that He forgets the sins for which His Son gave His life. And with the forgetting of transgression comes the sweet mand of health. Therefore, let your soul be at peace, and in that peace let the prayer be unwavering. He who can open the ear and unstop the airway can cause every function to obey His sovereign will. For the lung that is blocked, He says, "Be opened." For the inflamed passage, He speaks, "Peace, be still." His fiat went forth in creation, and it is the same voice that now sounds in the courts of grace. Trust in His power, rely upon His compassionate humanity, and rest in His finished work. The healing leaves are for you; they are not held back from the faithful. Lay the child at His feet in the spirit, and watch for the lifting up of that hand.
