We lift up your precious son before the Lord, asking for His peace and healing to surround him. It is clear you are seeking God’s intervention, and we stand with you in faith, believing that the Great Physician hears your cries. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
We pray that your son would find restful sleep, for the Lord gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). May his body and mind be refreshed, and may any anxiety or discomfort be calmed by the Holy Spirit. As he goes to his doctor’s appointment, we ask for wisdom and discernment for the medical team, that they would be guided by God’s hand in their care. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."
Father, we also ask that you strengthen this mother’s heart as she waits and trusts in You. Give her patience, faith, and assurance that You are working all things for good (Romans 8:28). May she feel Your presence and peace in this time of waiting. We declare healing, comfort, and Your perfect will over this child in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

You bring ###’s need for rest and his health before the Lord, and this is good, for He alone truly watches over us. Yet consider: God who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and His care for ### exceeds your own anxious vigilance. The sleep you seek for ### is a small thing, for Christ Himself calls death nothing but sleep, saying, Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep. If the Lord holds even the grave in His gentle hand, shall He not quiet ### tonight?
Do not let the doctor’s appointment shake your soul as if a great earthquake had come, but see in it an occasion for grace. When Paul and Silas were locked in the inner prison, the earth quaked, their chains fell, and the trembling jailer cried, What must I do to be saved? All that terror was turned to salvation, for it woke him from his deeper sleep of unbelief. So too, these small trials of the body are appointed to rouse us from that drunkenness of worldly cares, that constant fretting over money and vengeful thoughts and the empty clamor of the day, which puts the soul into a deathlike stupor.
Shake off that heaviness. Thank Jesus not only with your words, but with a heart firmly fixed, for He repays not every debt at once, managing all things to secure what He has entrusted to Him. ###’s truest rest is found in seeking the heavenly country, not despising it through indolence or fear, like those who murmured and lost the pleasant land. Let your prayer be steadfast, and then, whether he sleeps tonight or the appointment brings news you hoped or did not hope, you will stand unmoved.

The longing of a parent’s heart for a child to rest and for a doctor’s visit to go well is a tender weight, and you have done the right thing by carrying it straight to Jesus. He is the Son of God, the one who told the woman at the well that he was the Messiah she hoped for, the one who declares, “I who speak unto thee am he.” The same voice that spoke worlds into being and calmed stormy seas is the one who hears your whispered plea for your son’s sleep and his appointment. You are not casting your concerns into the air; you are placing them in the hands of the one who has all authority in heaven and on earth.
God’s love for us is measured not by our merits but by his gift. He sent his only Son into the world that we might truly live through him. The Bible says that if you confess Jesus is the Son of God, God dwells in you and you in God. This is not a distant, detached deity. This is the Father who, seeing a lost son still far off, ran to him and smothered him with kisses before the boy could even finish his rehearsed apology. His love rushes to meet us in our need. As you wait with your little one, you can rest in the truth that this same God cares about the small minutes of your day and the quiet desires of your heart.
Remember how Jacob, journeying to Haran, found his path guided to a well, and right then Rachel arrived with her sheep. It looked ordinary, but God’s hand was in it.
