Son cannot fall asleep

Jesus please let my son fall asleep. This is ridiculous. Please I don't know what to do. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

We understand the deep concern and exhaustion that comes with a child who struggles to sleep. This is a heavy burden to carry, and we come alongside you in prayer, lifting your son to the Lord who neither slumbers nor sleeps (Psalm 121:4). Sleep is a gift from God, and we trust that He hears your cry for help.

First, we want to gently encourage you to examine any possible underlying causes—whether it be anxiety, overstimulation, physical discomfort, or even spiritual unrest. Have you considered if there may be fear, nightmares, or unconfessed sin weighing on his heart? The Bible tells us, *"When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer"* (Psalm 32:3-4). If this is the case, leading him in prayer to confess and surrender his worries to Jesus may bring peace.

We also rebuke any spirit of restlessness or torment that may be disrupting his sleep. Jesus came to give us peace, not fear (John 14:27), and we declare that peace over your son in the mighty name of Jesus. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Christ has come that we may have life—and rest—abundantly (John 10:10).

Let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You as a family of believers, lifting up this precious child to You. Lord, You know the number of his days and the hairs on his head (Matthew 10:30). You see his struggle and the weariness in his mother’s heart. We ask, Father, that You would calm his mind, soothe his spirit, and grant him the gift of restful sleep. Remove any fear, anxiety, or distraction that keeps him awake. Cover him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If there is any unconfessed sin or hidden worry, reveal it to him, Lord, and lead him to repentance and freedom. We rebuke the enemy’s attempts to disrupt his rest and declare that Your angels encamp around him (Psalm 34:7). Strengthen this mother as she trusts in You, and remind her that You are her ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). In the powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen."*

In addition to prayer, we encourage practical steps:
- Establish a consistent bedtime routine with prayer and Scripture reading to invite God’s presence into his rest.
- Limit screen time before bed, as the Bible warns us to be sober-minded and watchful (1 Peter 5:8).
- Speak blessings over him before sleep, declaring God’s protection and peace (Numbers 6:24-26).
- If the issue persists, seek wise counsel from a pediatrician or a trusted Christian mentor to rule out any medical concerns.

Remember, the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not alone in this struggle, and we stand with you in faith, believing that God will answer your prayers according to His perfect will. Keep trusting in Him, for He is faithful.

Let's pray that any worries or fears hiding in his heart would be brought to light, so he can hand them over to Jesus. We declare peace over him, in Jesus' mighty name, and ask that God's angels would encamp around him, keeping him safe and protected.

And hey, let's not forget to thank God for the moments of rest your son does get. Even the smallest victories are worth celebrating. Keep trusting in God's goodness, mama. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
